Great times!
Introducing my daughter to Trek this year, just wrapped up S4 of DS9 a few weeks ago and S3 of Voyager the week after.
We have a few more months of golden age Trek… soaking it in.

Nah, that’s more related to the episode named ‘Lower Decks’ I think.

He sounds amazing.
I’m sorry for your loss.
A year doesn’t erase what they mean to us. My wife and I still get upset thinking of our Westie that passed two plus years back.

Do it! Plenty out there that could use the love, and it sounds like you’re ready!
We’re not ready. Could be a while for us to seek one out. Our Mr. Kitty adopted us, so of the same happens again, obviously then it’s meant to be. Otherwise, it’s too big a whole to fill.

Pets are amazing. Two weeks without my Mr. Kitty and I still hear and see him everywhere. Hope you feel better.

Goldeneye did allow this. Crazy. Hard to use other buttons though.

Yep. I found it fascinating. I think the version I had probably had a forward from Asimov talking about how we were wrong about guesses about Venus.
I don’t remember much else from the story except this, and the big reveal of the whodunnit. (Or more accurately the how).
- Comment on Rain on Other Worlds 3 months ago:
There was a young adult sci fi series by Asimov called ‘Lucky Starr’ and I remember Venus was Oceanic in that one. Old old series.

Did some checking, out of curiosity.
And yeah. Interesting as hell.
We recorded 65 dBSPL (dB of sound pressure level) ultrasonic sounds 4 inches (10 cm) from tomato and tobacco plants, implying that these sounds could be detected by some organisms from up to several feet (meters) away.

Did some searching. The paper from 2019 that discussed this -

Doordash charges restaurants a percentage of the gross from the sale. Rather than eat this cost, restaurants are encouraged but not forced to add a markup on the prices they give Doordash (or insert your favorite third party delivery app here). They all do it.
If you order from a store’s own website though, Doordash (I don’t know if other third parties do this) did not “find” or create the business/order… they are really only handling the delivery portion.
In this instance, they still have some fees but do not take the large percentage, as that is a finder or broker fee. They aren’t bringing the restaurant the business, it’s the other way around.
Thus, restaurants can use their normal pricing. If you can find the places near you doing this, it’s a much better deal than using Doordash normally.
