- Comment on Slavery was abolished, so the rich are now trying to make economic oppression the equivalent of slavery. 1 year ago:
You’re assuming I’m in favor of keeping our existing government intact. I don’t. It was shit from the start, and now it’s entirely unsalvageable.
Even if the government itself was salvageable, the US is far too ideologically divided into sides that cannot and should not be reconciled with each other.
This country cannot and will not hold itself together much longer, and the only potentially viable course of action is to mitigate the harm that is going to happen no matter what by breaking it up in as controlled and peaceful a manner as possible.
- Comment on Slavery was abolished, so the rich are now trying to make economic oppression the equivalent of slavery. 1 year ago:
If we’re not going to abolish money, it should really be entirely illegal for the highest paid person in a company to make more than, say, 15-20 times more than the lowest paid person.

People seem to think that chattel slavery is the only thing that counts as slavery, and that even that doesn’t count if a slaver is less horrible to their slaves than other slavers are.

I would have celebrated, but I had to work today.

If dying from heatstroke and starvation is winning, then yeah, I guess you’re right.
- Comment on Steve Jobs: The difference of stealing yourself vs being stolen from 1 year ago:
Tesla sure as fuck would not be Tesla without his leadership.
You’re right, it wouldn’t; it would almost certainly be a better company.
Musk got Tesla where it is financially entirely through blatant fraud. “Earning” the company’s absurd valuation based almost entirely on dishonest promises of releasing a technology that is entirely unachievable, undesirable, and dangerous is an unsustainable business model, and it’s already showing cracks.
The fact that you seem to think that being highly profitable through constant ethical violations in every aspect of the company is to viewed as a succsess is honestly pretty gross.
- Comment on Steve Jobs: The difference of stealing yourself vs being stolen from 1 year ago:
Being a succsessful businessman does not make one a good businessman. Half of the equation is ethics, because it fucking matters.
A successful businessman with bad ethics and an unsuccsessful one with good ethics are both bad businessmen.
The only good businessman is one who both succeeds and has good ethics.
- Comment on 66% of Americans say they want extended European-style vacation policies at work 1 year ago:
I don’t want my company telling me when to spend my PTO?
Even if it actually worked that way, in what shothole reality is barely having any PTO at all preferable to having a shitload of it that you can only use at select times?
- Comment on 66% of Americans say they want extended European-style vacation policies at work 1 year ago:
Because we’re indoctrinated from birth to believe, consciously or subconsciously, that property and “the economy” are sacred and more valuable than either human rights or human life itself.
- Comment on 66% of Americans say they want extended European-style vacation policies at work 1 year ago:
What the fuck is wrong with 34% of Americans?
- Comment on Shrinkflation is out of control 1 year ago:
I’m sorry, what? The entire American west is becoming unlivable, Canada is burning to ashes, poisoning tens of millions of people across the continent, a hirricane just hit Californis, an entire fucking city just got wiped off the map in Hawaii, and western Europe is going to go into freefall when the impending collapse of tbe Atlantic currents drastically ravages their climate.
But sure, tell me more about how being in a developed country is going to save us when there’s no fucking food and everything is on fire.

Fuck off, prick.

The lucky ones willbe dead. I don’t expect that surviving the collapse is going to be a desirable option.

It’s not always about making a big impact. Sometimes you just need to set an example.

I’m not talking about Larian, I’m talking about the studios who want to keep cranking out suppisedly AAA games that are little more than creatively bankrupt, dressed up vending machines.

Better idea: just make that shit illegal.
