AI should be used for this, yes, however advertisement is more profitable.

So… art is essentially failing ahaha.
- Comment on this one goes out to the arts & humanities 6 months ago:
The art and humanities is more a side project
I’ll add:
A side project that isn’t a life or death situation like most of those physical labor things you’re talking about. Art isn’t also bound or constrain by rules and regulations like those jobs and if the AI fails at art then there’s no problem. Nobody would care.

Typical lemmy bullshit. Nice.

Oh yes, I’m aware of that website, just curious about your old library. Thanks.
- Comment on Midtown Madness 2 on Windows 10 10 months ago:
Cool, do you still have the files?
- Comment on Midtown Madness 2 on Windows 10 10 months ago:
Oh I wasn’t aware of that. But I’ve the feeling like an emulator will be easier to get running that MM2 was under Windows 10 😂. Thanks.

I’ll try that one soon. Does it run natively under Windows 10 or does it require hacks as well?

I’m confused about your comment…

This doesn’t seem geo related as most people I was speaking about share the same country and we’re all tech people so more or less similar setups an abilities do get around things.
Btw, just so you know, today after updating ublock and whatnot I get a new situation, the youtube popup doesn’t appear anymore however the ads play with sound only / no video.
if they’re using clever and calculated deception to divide people and make helping each other out difficult someone needs to analyze and document exactly how it’s being done.
Sounds like Google doesn’t it? :P
What I see with this is that Google might eventually lose more with this new policies than just leaving things as they were. Lets be real, if this shit show continues I guess I’ll just move to an alternative frontend such as Piped or Invidious and they their ability to harvest data and forced ads will be considerably restricted.

What I know is that I’ve been all my friends (most of them using ublock origin) complaining about YouTube blocking them and I was in the clear until yesterday. I guess they’re gradually rolling the blocks not for everyone at once.

The way I see it, the OP is the one crying about his views being oppressed by opposite views… Why do people go for that, why can’t he simply scroll over the posts that offend him? or comment instead of getting all triggered ?

Ahaha that’s fair :)

So… back to the authoritarian regime style of dealing with issues.

I kind of hoped that my reply made it obvious…

Who’s he to decide what fits and what doesn’t fit? What if someone else decides his posts doesn’t fit here? Who’s right then?

What never ceases to amaze me is how the same arguments that the “antivaxxers, anti-worker propaganda, climate change and fucking antisemitism” use can be applied to all sides and opinions on those subjects ahah

So… your suggestion is turning lemmy into an authoritarian regime that censors whatever you or someone might consider “enraging”? I mean lemmy.world did that with piracy instances… lol.

Yes but they did it in the past. So… they actually always knew / recorded your history.

My least favorite thing about Flatpak is that you can’t have KeepassXC and Ungoogled Chromium (both as flatpaks) communication with each other.
- Comment on Coming to you soon... 1 year ago:
Yes, makes me remember when they wouldn’t allow you to save locations on the map without logging in.
- Comment on Coming to you soon... 1 year ago:
Have you notice that lately if you’re the history feature disabled it will refuse to show suggested videos? In the past you would still get suggested videos even with the view history disabled.
- Comment on Can we just STOP inventing new chat systems? 1 year ago:
We don’t need to. What we need is to making things properly and ensure interoperability between those services. Think about email, it doesn’t matter what’s your provider and email client you can email anyone else. Why can’t we chat between WhatsApp and Telegram in the same way? That’s the real question that people should be asking and forcing companies into fixing.

I worked fully remote during the pandemic and a year after in a IT team leader position and let me tell you, we did things on those 3 years that we wouldn’t be able to do if we had to go to the office.
