Let me rephrase my previous post so I don’t offend the person calling the preventable deaths of the women “a good trade”.
You are being ignorant if you believe an abortion ban actually prevents all abortions from happening.
You are being ignorant if you think putting doctors in jail for trying to save their patients lives is a sustainable practice. Every time abortion laws regress, medical professionals leave the state and mortality rates increase.
You are being callous to people who maybe you consider to be strangers or worthless people because they sought to have an abortion. But I think you would be singing a different tune if it was your partner, your sister, your mother, who had a miscarriage while the doctors stood by and said, “here take this pill and pray god saves you, because I’m not legally allowed to help you anymore.”

You literally posted a link to a story about a woman who was hoping to see her pregnancy through to the end. This woman didn’t want an abortion but I guarantee you she wanted to live. And here you are celebrating her death. That’s disgusting.
I bet you and I agree on a lot of things and about wanting to see less abortions. I think the answer is pretty easy. Better access to sex education. More access to contraceptives and family planning. And laws that don’t punish doctors for saving the lives of their patients.

Truly disgusting that you think any women doing is acceptable, let alone a “damn good trade”.

I just finished watching the documentary this afternoon. I already own the game since it released but this is all a great excuse to okay through it again.

Yes, I bought all of the Unreal games. However a lot of people got them bundled with new graphics cards also.
- Comment on Disney-styled classic horror game Bye Sweet Carole looks great in the recent trailer 1 month ago:
Looks fantastic. I’m not sure I would call the animation Disney-styled. Nothing from the trailer made me think it looked like anything particularly “Disney”.

I am familiar with the phrase. And I was correct assuming you were referring to chromium as the culprit.
In case anyone didn’t know, you actually can polish a turd.
- Comment on Vivaldi polishes its browser, adds a dashboard • The Register 1 month ago:
How would you say it’s a turd? I assume because it’s still chromium based, but I don’t want to put words in your mouth.
It’s my browser of choice for my work computer but I do run Firefox at home and on mobile.
- Comment on Cynthia Erivo calls out fans who made their own Wicked poster 2 months ago:
That article, which does highlight a valid criticism of society and Hollywood, doesn’t really apply to this scenario. The fan edit isn’t about sexing up the characters. The edit is doing a more effective job of recreating the original poster than the movie studio did.
I don’t fault the actors or even the studio for wanting to feature their high paid actors on the movie poster but by trying to recreate the original but failing to capture the mood, of course fans are going to want to put their spin on it. There is probably even a middle ground that could have been struck to make her face mysterious but still mostly visible.
Is it rude and offensive when fans edit the Lord of the Rings films to better reflect the original story as told in the books?
In the end, I’m pretty sure this whole thing is a PR stunt to stir up word of mouth. Which of course is working because we all like to argue.

- Comment on Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button? 2 months ago:
For a while, there was a patent on it, at least in he US. I remember having to root a Sony phone to enable the fingerprint reader on the power button about 10 years ago.

Even with nostalgia glasses on I had a hard time enjoying the really old ones. That said, I think there’s a lot of charm in sq4 and kq5 5/6.
- Comment on Legends of Adventure: The Story of Sierra On-Line 6 months ago:
Another old fart here. Some of my first gaming memories are Kings Quest 1 and Space Quest 1. I remember having to go all my parents how to spell certain words to do what I needed to do.
I played both of those originals but then missed out on the sequels until they went vga - sq4 and kq5. Of course as an adult I bought all the collections so I could finally see what I missed in 2-4.
All that to say, thanks for posting this. I’ll always watch another documentary on Sierra.

I wouldn’t say 5 pieces of dlc totalling $20 is a lot. Not these days at least. Looks like they’re things you’d normally get in the “deluxe edition” of games past.
Wouldn’t tempt me to open my wallet but it’s not as grotesque as a lot of dlc these days.

The water in those sprinklers is disgusting too! It’s been sitting, stagnant in that pipe for years. It won’t be clear water like from the tap and it will stink.

It’s mind blowing how dense those pixels are but in the end it’s still lower res when you factor in the distance you usually view your phone or a television from.
