Plenty of copper in the switch gears, and at the panels. Single mode fiber is used as backbone for long runs. Multimode is used for backbone between closets.
Data centers may use cat 8 wire which also doesn’t have much copper in them but, those big fuck ass CRAC units gots plenty of copper.

Wonder is the devs could slip a Linux port of the game out of a portable hard drive. It would be a shame if someone accidentally uploaded the game off said drive to the internet.
