*turn-based JRPGs
Though I don’t really enjoy those other games either… Maybe it’s more the pacing? Hit me with constant challenging/engaging gameplay or interesting story and I’m happy, but then RPGs aren’t quite either. Too much downtime/filler perhaps.
Anyways, plenty of other games to play, to each their own.

Yeh it looks cool, but it’s the gameplay that always turns me off with RPGs, I just can’t deal with the combat. It’s a shame.

Too bad it’s an rpg, i.e. I won’t be playing it.

There’s almost certainly manga you’d enjoy out there, but if you’re not willing to dig through all the crap that’s understandable. And because it’s more niche it’ll take more effort to discover the things you’d like.

The fact most people have now heard of it proves its popularity. It was a pretty obscure movie before the Hunger Games.

Prehistoric Planet, I say as an amateur. But from what little I read about it it’s pretty alright apparently, and most of the ‘wrong/we’re not sure about this bit’ things are listed on the wiki afaik.
Of course there’s much more scientific depth possible than a TV show, but it’s a start towards recreating the common notion of what dinosaurs may have looked like.

I’m guessing your supermarket uses those fog thingies? They’re not used everywhere, i.e. not all produce is wet.

Same, I’ve yeeted mine across the road and it’s still fine.

Bought a repairable phone and only use a screen protector now. If it were to break it’s not that expensive a repair (never paid more than $500 for a phone anyways, seems ridiculous to me), and I’ve dropped it plenty of times and it hasn’t broken yet in nearly 4 years. Doesn’t seem necessary.

Of course there’s no easy answers, but your post reminded me of the following:
Hannah Arendt’s essay ‘On Violence’. Power stems from people collectively working towards change, strength etc. is violence. Anarchism requires a collective desire which is anti-coercion and anti-violence. Arendt was partly inspired by Rosa Luxemburg’s views on spontaneous revolution.
Graeber’s ‘Fragments of an Anarchist Anthropology’ and le Guin’s fictional novel ‘The Dispossessed’ give some insight into what is required for maintaining anarchist ways of organizing. In brief: you leave, divorce yourself from oppressive systems and start over elsewhere.
Which is of course difficult if not impossible on a planet which has been near entirely colonized. Somewhat more philosophical, anarchism requires the dissolution of notions of property. Agamben writes on monastic forms of life, which seem rather anarchist to me, in ‘The Highest Poverty’. Graeber and Wengrow mention the ‘sacredness’ of objects in ‘The Dawn of Everything’, which is a terribly deep anthropological and philosophical rabbit hole, but there’s some interesting connections between sacred objects and possession.
All books mentioned are worth the read of course, imo.

The video responds much better than I could. But in short, Gary doesn’t believe the housing prices to fall until the rich are taxed more. So get in soon if you can, it’s only going to get worse.
Might be wrong, who knows. I’m not able to buy a house currently anyways so I’d have to wait either way.
