I’m not. People keep saying FF14 but neither reports their numbers…
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 1 week ago:
I’d really love to know where you are getting your numbers from. I find it hard to believe that the game where the last expansion is tanking in the review score as compared to prior expansions is beating wow

What a load of nonsense. Wows endgame raids and dungeons are the best and most active of any MMO available and those are exclusively for the active players

Using gambling as your first example when talking about use cases for crypto doesn’t exactly paint it in a good light
- Comment on Eve Frontier is a survival game spin-off of Eve Online and, yup, it's full of blockchain bullshit 1 month ago:
The main thing I’m wondering from all this is what the actual use case is for being able to do transactions outside of the game. For both the actual Eve online and the vast majority of survival games, being able to trade player to player is plenty.

Could be it’s using you for nutrients it can’t get normally, so it keeps you alive to milk you for your calcium or whatever for as long as it can.
- Comment on Why are doctors so hands off and unhelpful in the USA? 1 month ago:
Judging from my own doctors experience, they are way overbooked. Can’t get a personal experience when they gotta see a couple dozen more people the same day.

I could see the reason for scheduling a thermostat, at least. Mostly to save money on heating/cooling when you are not home.

- Comment on FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL Launch Trailer 4 months ago:
You’d have to get through a couple hundred hours of main story quest to get to current content.
So if you like JRPG stories and/or extensive character dress-up: Great idea do recommend
If you like endgame content and raiding and stuff: It’s not the best and probably not worth the couple hundred hours of MSQ

Don’t even have to kill, an injury that stops them from further adventuring would work as well. Could still have them as a consultant or whatever then

That website is using the nations carbon footprint as a part of their measure of happiness which I find confusing. Carbon footprint is important sure but it doesn’t relate to happiness and gives undeveloped countries an advantage.

- Comment on Why School Absences Have ‘Exploded’ Almost Everywhere | The pandemic changed families’ lives and the culture of education: “Our relationship with school became optional.” 7 months ago:
Personal opinion is that some level of education is required to fully function in modern society. The basics like math, language, history, etc. Plus school offers a good way for kids to socialize with others their age which is important.
Now on the other hand, the current format of waking kids up at 8AM, loading them with homework, forcing them to take standardized tests… that all is a bit much.
