- Comment on Poll: Will you buy GTA 6 when it launches on your platform? 1 week ago:
Yeah, they never outright stated it, but this was all found in one of the big data leaks from Rockstar. The first was mostly finished and involved Trevor working with the CIA, doing a heist on the casino, and going on James Bond/Austin Powers like adventures. The second DLC was a zombie survival scenario (probably going to be like RDR’s Undead Nightmare) with Micheal and his family. And the final DLC basically just had concept art of Franklin being sucked up into a UFO.
All the cars and the casino heist from Trevor’s DLC is in GTAO. The cars modified with sheet metal and spikes from Michael’s DLC got repurposed into a Mad Max type of update for GTAO.

I don’t think I’m going to get GTA 6 at all. I have a grudge against Take2 since they had Gearbox update all the old Borderlands games right before Borderlands 4 came out to include an anticheat software and the EULA now states that any info the anticheat scrapes can be sold to their marketing partners. So they turned all of those games into spyware. Rockstar and Take2 both stated that the already over-monitized GTA Online is actually under-monitized, so I fully expect the GTA 6 online to be more of a fucking nightmare than EA’s Battlefront 2 on release. And I also hate how as soon as Rockstar saw how profitable GTAO was, they cancelled the single player DLC and shoehorned all that shit into GTAO.
I’m tired, boss. It’ll be a cold day in hell before I spend money on a triple-A game again

- Comment on What is a game that you know is bad but really enjoy(ed)? 3 weeks ago:
Back 4 Blood. It was a zombie game marketed as “made by the same people who made Left 4 Dead” but they really didn’t have any of that talent left after 15ish years and just seemed to be pretty unpolished all around. However, they had a card system where you make a deck of bonuses you want and after each mission you get one that you keep until the end of the campaign. But the devs, Turtle Rock, had a habit of nerfing any cards that were strong or fun into the ground even though the game was mostly PvE. Also they made a change halfway through the game’s lifespan so that you get the entire deck at the start of the first level instead of building up to it. I still don’t know if that was a good change or not, but they never rebalanced the game so the first couple levels of every campaign were just ridiculously easy. Unpolished game, horrible devs, but I had fun while it lasted

I mixed up the Dusklight team with the Courage Reborn team, so I went and fixed my other comment. I only follow Harbour Masters so I saw their announcement, not sure if Linifadomra has made an announcement
- Comment on What is some smaller gaming news? 3 weeks ago:
There’s a team of people called Harbour Masters who decompiled Nintendo 64 games (or used decomps from other people, I’m not sure) and recompiled them as native PC ports. So far they have done Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, and Super Mario 64. All of these games can be played without an emulator, they support widescreen and modern resolutions, and can be played at higher frame rates without issue.
There is another team of people who have done the same thing, and recompiled Twilight Princess for the GameCube under the name Dusklight.
The actual news is that both teams, Harbour Masters and the Dusklight team, have announced that they will be working together to recompile more GameCube games. I’m not sure if Harbour Masters is done with N64 games or not, but I’m looking forward to seeing what games they will work on next.

Ship of Harkinian is how I’ve been playing OoT the most lately and I can’t recommend it enough
- Comment on I just saw the Ocarina of Time Remake glimpse at Nintendo Direct 6.9.2026 4 weeks ago:
I love OoT and I still play the game semi regularly, but I just feel so conflicted about this. It’s good that a game I like so much is being made more easily available and is getting the (nearly) 30 year old limitations and rough edges polished out, but on the other hand… I just don’t know. In my opinion those rough edges give the game a certain charm that gets lost even if the devs do everything right

- Comment on What gaming console you owned disappointed you the most and why ? 1 month ago:
The OG Xbox. I’m sure it’s actually a fine console with great games on it, but my own personal experience with it was frustrating. I had already owned a GameCube and a PS2, both modified to play games from a SD card/hard drive and output an HDMI signal for modern tvs. I figured I’d might as well own the main 3 consoles from that generation and get the Xbox. I bought one that came with some cheap third party controllers and the first thing I did was replace the old capacitors on the circuit board. No problem there. Now there were 3 modifications I wanted to install, a mod chip with a new OS, replace the HDD with an SSD to install games on, and the HDMI converter. First up is the mod chip, and the install went fine. Except that after installing it with the new OS, the controller doesn’t work. From here, I’d tinker with it for a day or two and then get pissed and shelf it for a couple of weeks before going back to it. I even bought extra controllers which didn’t work, and a fucking oscilloscope to trace the controller signals through the motherboard to see if I accidentally de-soldered something installing the mod chip. Turns out the problem was the guy who made the OS didn’t put any tolerances in for the controller signals, so the third party controllers I had just didn’t work. Got some original Xbox controllers, and everything was fine and fucking dandy. The SSD install actually went in no problem. The HDMI converter was a pain in the ass because I had to solder in this ribbon cable with tiny contacts, but I got it in. And it just didn’t work. Apparently the two mods, mod chip and HDMI converter, were supposed to work together but sometimes they just didn’t since they are made by two different people. Only remedy is get another mod chip or converter and maybe those work. But I got lucky and one guy made a dual mod chip and converter. So I got that. Installed it. It fucking worked. I spent some time downloading and installing a bunch of games to the SSD. When I was happy with my newly acquired library of Xbox games, I unplugged it from the setup on my work bench and moved it to my living room, and when I turned it on the TV showed no signal. Fuck. When I cracked it back open, the mod chip had an LCD display with a fault code that should mean a bad solder joint or firmware needs to be reinstalled. I did both, but no luck. Checked the forums and found good news and bad news. The good news was that at least a dozen of other people are having the same problem, so there should be a fix, right? Well… Bad news was that the creator was responding to everyone with a, “I’ve never had that problem, you must have done something wrong. Buy a new kit and install it correctly this time.” … This bitch… I put that Xbox right in my closet and haven’t touch it since 2023. I spent 2 and a half years and a lot more money than I want to admit on that console and I’m just fucking done. I might go back and get it working some day, but I still want to vomit whenever I glance at the damn thing

It’s been more than a handful of years since I had to learn linear algebra so I am very out of practice, and this was the first image that I saw that made me go, “yeah, that looks about right.” I thought I should include some image since I have told people during college that I was in a linear algebra class and several had the same response of, “Really? I learned algebra in high school. Weren’t you in calculas last semester?”
