Walking two steps outside in socks and accidentally stepping on a slug... It was like 37 years ago... I'm still traumatized.
- Comment on Hormones are powerful drugs. Taken by everybody. Creating massive aggresstion, obsession and mental disturbance. What would freedom from its influences look like for a society? An individual? 1 year ago:

Also, baby smells get you high and promote warlike behavior and ethnocentrism. Don't forget those.

Someone's just going to steal whatever you make anyway.
- Comment on While everyone is watching the world stage and some are predicting WWIII, isn't there a good chance that the USA is getting close to some kind of civil war? 1 year ago:
Civil war didn't happen when Gore "lost" on some technical bullshit, it's not going to happen anytime soon.

This is a shit posting community. And I'm not your employee. Neither time nor place for your insecurities.
- Comment on A genre of Country Music... 1 year ago:
It was a meme reference. You took that way too personally. I'm sorry iif you were offended.
- Comment on If there was an afterlife, how would it work? 1 year ago:
By violating entropy, I guess.

Wasn't meant as a personal attack. Shoulda put it on the Amidala meme, I guess. 🤷♂️

So, since you're support staff and economically a cost center and not a producer, they make more than you, right? You advocate for their wages first, right?
- Comment on Is jogging on sidewalks harder on joints than if one jogged on dirt? 1 year ago:
Definitely. Decomposed granite (that orange gravelly stuff) or dirt is much better for your joints and shins than running on cement.

It's a mild scam. More like chain letters used to be than Amway or something with a structure putting a bunch of wealth in the hands of one person. But, you're right. It's stupid, even if mostly harmless.

Executives are assholes and should not be listened to, ever.
- Comment on Maybe I need a new mattress 1 year ago:
Spent a bunch of money on a nice new matress. Back still hurts. Life is pain, just gets worse the longer it goes, and now I can't blame it on a crappy matress.

What fun is taking a drug now for a condition it could treat, when you could put it off and justify getting real fucked later.
- Comment on Circle of life 1 year ago:
It's both something that should be done and would turn out of awful because the biggest shithead's already out there would just co-opt the process.
Unfortunately, the best option is just opting out of the human race entirely.

Her: "So, hear me out: We'll give them all of our issues and then take away all of the safety nets we enjoyed."
Him: "I'm so down. This is gonna be great!"

Kinda doubt Bill Murray would be on board with such a cheap stunt. Pretty sure he's moved on to cheaper, less prestigious, worse paying stunts by this point in his illustrious career. (I kid.)
Besides, Harold Ramis is dead and Michael Shannon is kind of a big deal, now. - Comment on incredible 1 year ago:

- Comment on Master baiter 1 year ago:
Seems like debate and people changing their minds when presented with new information is something that died around 9/11, if it ever even existed. Even the most mild vocal disagreement just further entrenches people in their feelings.
- Comment on Knowledge is... power? 1 year ago:
When I was a teenager, an older friend told me how he learned in college history how the first Emperor of China wrote the language, made all these scientific discoveries, etc, etc. And I, knowing fuck all about Chinese history, was like 'you mean he killed all the historians and advisors, then burned all the libraries, so he could take credit, right?' My friend is like 'uhhh.....'
Yeah, so turns out that's pretty much how more recent readings of it say it went down.
- Comment on What would it take to change an Internal Combustion Engine Car to an EV? 1 year ago:
Friend of mine's dad, back in the 90's, ran a small shop converting VW bugs to electrics w about a 40 mile range using just a bunch of car batteries. The shop went under after a little bit, not enough interest. But, it's very possible.

They're not only fucking over their employees. They're fucking over the tax payer and straining the countries they are allowed to operate in, while funneling those dollars to top executives and shareholders.
These companies rely on social programs like welfare and food stamps to support their front line staff.

Mom jokes, spicy chilis and twisting your hands around someone's arm in opposite directions also temporarily off limits.
- Comment on There's a steep decline in pay compared to the value workers add to the economy, closely tracking the fall in union membership. 1 year ago:
Remember: Workers make the machinery. Then, workers use the machinery to make more things. It may be different workers at different stages, but workers are the only means of production. Everything is produced by someone working to do so.
