If they were smart they would put all of their eggs into squadron 42, make it as good as they can
They did, it’s why star citizen was lagging behind so hard for so long. All the production focus went into squadron 42 like 6ish years ago. Squadron 42 is announced for release next year and since the announcement they turned production focus back to star citizen. Still SC 1.0 is going to be years away still because they’re so damn slow with everything they do…

OkCupid.com (founded 2004) asked users a wide range of multiple-choice questions. It then went further by also asking them to specify the responses to those same questions they wanted to see from prospective partners
Yet another example of a feature dumbed down for seemingly no reason… In another comment I mentioned removing features, and this one mentioned here used to have a section for you to elaborate on your response… They removed it just a few years ago for god knows what reason, making that questions section worse…
“Do pets have souls: yes/no”
…well normally I’d say “no” and then elaborate with “because I don’t believe in souls, I don’t think anyone has a soul. We have personalities and I believe animals have them too.”
Now I just look like some heartless psycho “no, animals don’t have souls.”

I have been on and off dating apps for over 10 years. I witnessed what they did to them.
Enshittification to the maximum. Sites literally REMOVED useful functions and put others behind paywalls. You used to be able to set tags of interests and search by tags as well to find people into the same things as you, but that stops you from swipe swipe swipe swipe swipe… Swipe swipe is time spent on the app which increases the chance you start feeling desperate and pay them for the increased functionality of… Seeing who likes you… Other sites used to let you actually browse who was near you, not swipe, but have a list of people to look through. That’s not swipe swipe swipe pulling the dopamine lever so gotta give it the axe.
The more difficult it is to use the more likely they are to get you feeling desperate which is how they get you to pay up. No thanks.

Seriously lol monster hunter wilds was pretty frustrating with that shit… Like ok Olivia isn’t traditionally “hot” but wtf not every character in a game needs to be a supermodel for you to jerk to. I kinda like the strong woman theme anyway, she’s attractive in a different way.

Steve fucking Bannon wanted exactly these kinds of men. He helped push the gamergate thing and wanted to cultivate a group that he called “rootless white men.” He utilized anger within the gaming community and focused it on right wing talking points, now that shit has spread like wildfire. Check any steam discussions forum for any reasonably popular game and you’re guaranteed to find a “is this game woke?” Thread or “stop with the fucking pronouns!”

- Comment on Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion's level scaling was a "mistake", says designer, so why is it in the remaster? 2 weeks ago:
There’s a mod that addresses this! I would go for the “lite” version if you just want the armor and level scaling tweaks. That mod as a whole changes a bunch of other stuff I didn’t care to change, but the lite version is nice.

One is specifically tied to the other. These people are being manipulated into being right wing pro-authoritarian voters because of “woke” blah blah blah. It’s always their boogie man because it has been made part of their identity, it’s part of the victim complex they have and they feel like “free speech warriors” when they fight against it… It’s fucking disgusting.
- Comment on Oblivion Remastered Impressions (and Discussion Thread) 3 weeks ago:
Difficulty settings are wack. Normal is too easy and hard is way too hard. The slider literally goes from 1x/1x damage taken/damage dealt to 3x/0.6!
This was my only real complaint, other than them taking the noise cue away from lockpicking! I’ve really been itching for an elderscolls game with modern graphics and QOL so I’m super happy.
As for the lockpicking I learned something recently from a video and now I never break a pick. I can’t believe I never knew this:
Basically when you hit one tumbler there are the 3 drop speeds right? You push it up and it falls either slow, med, or quick. They “switch” between those three speeds when the tumbler falls back to the starting position.
If you hit a tumbler up and HOLD up (I’m on controller), or whatever key is up, then the tumbler will bounce slightly in the fully raised position. When it’s like this it will be remaining in the “fall speed” from when you first triggered it. We want it to be the slow fall speed so basically while it’s bouncing if you see any spring between “bounces” it’s too fast, let it fall to the starting position and try again.
If it’s bouncing and you can barely see any movement at all let alone any spring then it’s in the slow position, that’s what we want. When it’s like that watch the lockpick and when the lockpick is moving upwards trigger the lock with whatever the confim button is for you. It should always work!

- Comment on 34% of the US population doesn't vote. Why do polticalitcians cling to the idea that these voters can't be reached? 3 weeks ago:
There is actually some evidence that musk was unfortunately successful at reaching some of these people. There was a lot of talk about “strange” ballots that only voted for Trump and nothing else, usually called “bullet ballots.” Well apparently part of musks outreach plan was getting to low propensity voters and telling them “don’t worry if it’s confusing, don’t worry about knowing the candidates, the only thing we need is a vote for Trump and he’ll fix everything.”
It seems like it worked out for them… :(

I’m enjoying it quite a bit!
… except for the fucking lockpicking…
Whyyy did you have to make it so much harder?! It’s so unforgiving now and they took away the noise cue! I used to be able to do it without even looking at the screen because you could hear a distinct sound when it clicked into place. Now there are 3 different drop speeds and the sounds are so minimal…
