- Comment on What do people (as in, IRL) actually think of the [alleged] perpetrator involved in the NYC shooting? 1 week ago:
I was offended at first glance, but then remembered that there were two shootings at my old apartment, and I have a cop friend of a friend that regularly posts dashcam footage from his car chase of the week in the discord. I’m also kinda fat, so the rest seems to check out.

If tips are bad, the worker quits. If sales are bad, the worker is fired and might collect unemployment benefits.

Some anime probably has that as a plot line, where super vampires only feed from regular vampires

- Comment on When did a movie misrepresent the country or city you live in? 6 months ago:
In Crocodile Dundee (1986), there is a famous scene where the lead characters are mugged at knife point, producing the quote “That’s not a knife, this is a knife.” In New York City, you actually get mugged at gun point.

“Boy-racer” is a term I wish I had known years ago to refer to some acquaintances. Seems much less offensive than what I was using.
- Comment on Are phone notification LEDs still a thing? 1 year ago:
I think there were multiple Motorola phones that had the LED unused in stock ROMs, which makes me think it was a patent/legal issue, rather than an engineering decision.
