While it will technically work, the old tube tvs had a 4:3 resolution of 5xx x 3xx or so, depending on if they used PAL or NTSC. Modern TV Interfaces are typically designed for a screen resolution of 1200x800 and 16:10 or 16:9, which means the fonts will be unreadable and half of the screen is cut off.
- Comment on Why does this website have a loading screen to process my cookie preferences? 7 months ago:
Yeah, but you can do this in the background without blocking the whole page. In fact you have to go to extra lengths to make it “block” the whole page. Maybe it’s just some css that sets the cursor to the “loading” image, and then ignores mouse clicks for a while, giving the illusion of doing lots of work…

There is a one-time upfront payment of $55,000, plus an ongoing annual ground rent of $1,091 per bunker. Bunkers are provided in their as-is condition, without interior improvements, equipment or furnishings, ready for your outfitting.
How is this a “billionaire commune”, when the price is a fraction of a standard 2-bedroom house or even a motorhome, and pretty much everyone can move in?

The could make everything above 1080 quality subscription only, or charge uploaders for the storage. This would probably also cut down on the low quality spam Channels that only exists for ad revenue…

This looks more like a map of any English speaking news source I would see online. I mean I see us politics and us topics on lemmy and my local newspaper all the time, but hardly ever hear anything from far away places like Ghana, Romania, south America, middle east or south east asia unless in specifically look for it on sole lesser known sites.
