- Comment on 'My personal failure was being stumped': Gabe Newell says finishing Half-Life 2: Episode 3 just to conclude the story would've been 'copping out of [Valve's] obligation to gamers' 5 days ago:
This. I didn’t (and still don’t) need groundbreaking gameplay for Episode 3. I just wanted an ending to the plot.
- Comment on In the era of remakes and remasters, what niche game would you like to see receive the treatment? 3 weeks ago:
Well, a few months ago I would have said Soul Reaver, but we’re finally getting that!
So I guess I’ll say Siphon Filter. I remember having a lot of fun with that back in the day.

It always did.
- Comment on Elden Ring Player to Sue FromSoftware Over High Game Difficulty 3 months ago:
People can sue for whatever they want, but that doesn’t mean a court will entertain it. I’m sure whatever judge this is put in front of will dismiss it immediately.
As for the difficulty discussion. Not all games are made for all players, and that’s OK. If it’s too hard for you, play sometime else. Soulsborne games do not need difficulty settings, and I’m glad they don’t.

How nice of Microsoft to let the PS community be as disappointed in Bethesda as the rest of us.

That’s true, it was definitely unique. I’m glad it was made too.

Having not played the first game at all, this trailer looks even more ridiculous (in a bad way) than the first one did. The graphics certainly look amazing though.

- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 has won Steam's 2023 GOTY Award 10 months ago:
1000 hours? Really? BG3 came out 153 days ago, which means you would have spent, on average, 6 and a half hours a day every day since then playing just that game. I’m not saying you’re lying… but I kind of am? (if true, seek help)
Regardless, what you said is true. BG3 offers so many options that each playthrough is so drastically different, the replayability is as close to infinite as any story-based game has gotten IMO. It’s kind of amazing the game works at all, let alone works as well as it does.

Good. Well deserved IMO.
- Comment on Original God of War trilogy remaster rumoured to be on the way 10 months ago:
I’m not bothered by it, in general, especially when the graphics of the older games are low-rez and “cartoony” by today’s standards. But, much like how I don’t like rewatching Oberyn vs The Mountain in Game of Thrones, I don’t relish the thought of watching Kratos do similar things in high def. It all depends on the kind of remaster that may happen. If it’s just a resolution bump and some better lighting I’ll be fine.
- Comment on Original God of War trilogy remaster rumoured to be on the way 10 months ago:
I really enjoyed those games back when they came out, and I don’t mind the idea of a remaster in general… but I really don’t want to see certain scenes from those games in HD with remastered models/lighting. Some of them were absolutely brutal, but they were tolerable due to the “gamey” graphics.

Welp. I don’t know what to say other than he’s the creator and he’s completely wrong.

I love Souls-likes. I’m looking forward to this one, but I’ll wait for additional patches to fix the performance issues.
- Comment on The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion - 02-10-2023 1 year ago:
Last Epoch. The campaign isn’t anywhere close to as good as Diablo, but the crafting and end game is way, way better. Despite it being in early access, it’s very polished already. I’m having a lot of fun with it. I’m looking forward to 1.0 in December.
- Comment on Game recommendation, looking for easier western 3D ARPG 1 year ago:
Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Play the game on story mode and enjoy it. That trilogy has the best characters and some of the best quest storylines in the industry in my opinion.
- Comment on What are some RPGs for someone who doesnt like most RPGs 1 year ago:
Mass Effect trilogy. It has amazing characters, get stories, and the gameplay gets better with each game. Though the first in the series is still my favorite, and one of my favorite games of all time, 2 is considered to be one of the best character driven RPGs in recent memory. Bonus, you can get all three remastered via the Legendary Edition.
