Gunman Chronicles is unironically great. Granted, I love games with ludicrous numbers of weapons, but the fact that the weapons have a bazillion firing modes is fun.

Yes! I’ve been trying to figure out what the fuck the difference is for a long time but for some reason that explanation kept eluding me; I don’t mind being called “a female [blank]”, but just being called “a female” bothers me. But that’s it right there, it’s when it’s used as a noun.
- Comment on Great tee shirt with words of wisdom that I bet you never realized 2 days ago:
Hey, uh, don’t refer to male humans as “men” and then female humans as “females” like that. It’s kinda dehumanizing.
Like, I get calling men, “males” and women “females”, because I’ll do that sometimes (I claim fur-brain as my defense, because calling anthro characters “man” or “woman” is weird); but try not to do the thing where you say “men” then “females” as if we’re a complete different species. That’s… just… not appropriate in a normal context.

Can confirm, lived my life as a guy 20yrs online, 30irl. Almost cried the first time someone held me. I swear half of the world’s problems would be solved if people were more accepting of men sharing physical affection.

I can’t say I’ve had the exact same experience, but I did get picked on by a bunch of “friends” at a birthday party. Tried to play truth or dare and I was a really honest, open kid (mostly), so when it was my turn I said, “truth” and someone asked me if I’d ever kissed a girl, and I said, “no”. They decided that I had to be lying so they asked me a different question, “have I ever had a crush on a girl” to which I also said, “no”. They didn’t believe that either, and one of them jokingly asked, “have you (me being AMAB) ever kissed a boy?” That was coming from a kid in a really conservative Christian family, and it caught me off-guard. The truth was that no, I had never kissed a boy either, but the question made me hesitate. They lept on that.

Then take those ashes and mix them into dark spices like pepper as a filler.

- Comment on What are your favorite "gotta go in blind" games? 3 weeks ago:
Sauna2000 (it’s not out yet, but there are some demos floating around).
Squirrel stapler
Cruelty Squad - depends on the kinda person you are. If you’re super open-minded about game presentation then I’d tell you to go into it blind. If not, then I’ll happily try to sell you on it. If it helps, the game looks the way that it does because of how fucking confident it is in itself; and that confidence is fully justified. Give it time, even if the first level doesn’t hook you, give it time because in my experience it will eventually hook you and reel you in and leave you thinking it’s one of the best games of all time.
Undertale
Hypnospace Outlaw
Jet Set Radio, Jet Set Radio Future, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Give the first two a try, and if you don’t like either one, skip BRC; it’s a spiritual successor to JSRF and if you didn’t like JSRF then you probably won’t like BRC.
Hylics. If you liked that and wanted more, Hylics 2. Hylics 2 actually does something throughout the game that I’ve only ever seen as a gimmick in other games. It’s really cool and it’ll probably catch you off-guard every time it does it.
Katamari Damacy. If you liked that, there’s also We <3 Katamari.
Myst. The newest version has VR support. If you liked that, the recent Riven remaster also has VR support.
S C O R N (if you like Myst, give it a try. It feels very myst-like)
Hrot (boomer shooter, but if you like boomer shooters then you should give it a go).
If you’re at a place in your life where you’re trying to still find yourself: Night in the Woods. Especially if you’re a furry. This game is really fucking good. It’ll make you laugh. It’ll make you cry. It’ll make you miss home but also be glad you aren’t there anymore. It’ll make you question your place in life and who you are. Also, you can interact with things multiple times, make sure you don’t miss out on dialogue, you’ll regret it.
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl - This is hard to go into blind because it’s buggy as fuck and most people recommend some form of community patch even for your first playthrough. That said, play it on the highest difficulty. It’s unironically more fun once you get used to it. If it’s too hard though, don’t be fooled into thinking that dropping the difficulty will make it easier, the hardest difficulty is special (you can only take a few hits, but the same is true for most enemies), and dropping it down will result in enemy difficulty scaling becoming more traditional (buffing health and damage).
Portal (and Portal 2).
Bugsnax.
If I can throw in a movie too:
Willy’s Wonderland. It’s a Nicolas Cage movie and that’s all I’ll tell you. DO NOT LOOK UP THE TRAILER. I wouldn’t have watched it if I hadn’t seen the trailer, but the trailer also has huge spoilers.
- Comment on What are your favorite "gotta go in blind" games? 3 weeks ago:
I disagree with FEAR simply because I’d say to play it on the hardest difficulty and go balls to the wall because the AI will fuck you over if it gets the chance; and the longer you take to clear a room, the more time the AI has to organize and execute a plan. If it weren’t for the fact that I’ve seen plenty of people get stuck on FEAR because they tried to play it like a cover shooter, I’d fully agree with you.
- Comment on I or my family does has a 3 year old mixed border collie. Is it to late to train him for something new? 3 weeks ago:
Border collies tend to be hyper intelligent as far as dog breeds go. You can train them to do anything even when their muzzle is going grey. Be warned that, like most intelligent animals, this means you’ll have your hands full; but the tradeoff is that they tend to have a ton of personality.
Mac (the first dog I remember having) basically trained me to fetch.
Sirius (second dog) came up with his own game; the downstairs of my parents house is kinda like a loop, with a pair of doors leading from the kitchen to the dining room, and he loved to play “go around”. If you closed the doors he’d go around to try and catch you before you could get to the other side; and sometimes he’d fake-out, where he’d run from the living room to the hallway, and then turn around and come back. He would get so excited that he’d actually parkour off the wall to turn around. He also loved it if you just ran away and hid while he was running to the other side of the doors.
Brigid (current dog) loves playing with blankets and sometimes accidentally gets herself wrapped up in them. You can tell she was having fun if the floor is covered in blankets.
Source: mom loves border collies, so we always had one. I like them too because they’re a lot of fun.

I dunno. From what I’ve seen, comic movie fans can be pretty progressive. I could see them feeling uncomfortable with the idea of Captain America right now.

Something tells me that a movie with a character that represents the “American spirit” won’t be super popular right now, no matter what the actually subject matter is.
- Comment on What are your favorite 1000+ hour games? 4 weeks ago:
Maybe the community has gotten better, but back when I played it wasn’t uncommon for mid to get salty because they fed early game and start feeding couriers to the enemy team.
- Comment on What are your favorite 1000+ hour games? 4 weeks ago:
Factorio, Warframe, Minecraft, Dota 2. However, the only two I’d still recommend are Factorio and Minecraft. Warframe’s grind seems to have finally burned me out for good, Dota 2 is bad. You’re not gonna have fun with Dota 2. The game concept is good, but like most competitive online games, the community fucking sucks.
In addition to Factorio and Minecraft, try Voices of the Void, The Long Drive, WEBFISHING, and Balatro.

Even though you already got your answer, yes. Yes they are lmao. All I was trying to say, however, was that it’s not exactly fair to compare “creatures” that exist in two different mediums.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
No. He was trying to kill you. Imo any amount of force and any target is justified in that kinda situation. Even if you managed to slice off his balls it’d be justified imo. Granted, if he disengages and you feel safe, then you should stop; I’m just saying that, in the moment, I’m not sure I would have felt safe enough to let him disengage.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Seems justified. If anything you practiced restraint by not killing him. If I was in your place I’m not sure I would have stopped because I’d be too scared that the wound wasn’t enough and that he might get up at any moment and start attacking me again.
- Comment on aerodynamics 1 month ago:
Well… duh? A fairer comparison would be the cow vs jeep. A sea creature vs something designed for land isn’t that great of a comparison because water is thick enough that you’re going to need some kind of aerodynamic (fluodynamic?) adaptation to survive. Air is thin enough that evolution can sacrifice some aerodynamics for other traits.

- Comment on The Genesis of a joke. 1 month ago:
Not really, Genesis was one of my favorite bands growing up, and they still have some of my favorite albums. I knew it was just a meme, but I couldn’t pass up a chance to share my opinion on the Gabriel vs Collins debate lol
- Comment on The Genesis of a joke. 1 month ago:
People like to split Genesis into Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins eras, but the truth is that Genesis should be split into Steve Hackett vs Tony Banks. Hackett’s departure from Genesis was the final nail in the Genesis prog-coffin and it’s when the band started shifting from prog to pop.
The composition shift becomes obvious when you compare The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Trick of the Tail and Wind & Wuthering with albums like …And Then There Were Three, ABACAB and Duke. The former group, consisting of a “Gabriel” album + the first two “Collins” albums, sound very similar; enough so that I’ve seen people mistakenly associate Trick of the Tail and Wind & Wuthering with Gabriel despite being voiced by Phil Collins. This is because Hackett’s guitar was still present and Gabriel, planning for the possibility of his departure, had been singing with Collins backing him, so the vocal shift wasn’t as obvious.
Meanwhile, the latter group (…and Then There Were Three, ABACAB and Duke) came after Hackett’s departure and are much more synth driven. Furthermore, they begin to shift to a more pop-driven sound as Tony Banks’ synths take over and no longer need to share the soundstage with Hackett’s guitar.
As such, the Gabriel-Collins debate is misframed and should instead be Hackett-Banks.
That said, I thoroughly enjoy most of Genesis’ releases, even including Invisible Touch and We Can’t Dance (though I’ve never tried to listen to From Genesis to Revelation or Calling All Stations). Treat Hackett and Banks’ albums like separate bands that just coincidentally happen to share the same name and band members, and you’ll enjoy them way more.
