Some elaboration of mine for doing this post:
Once I helped organizing some huge event. Attending negotiations between a monopol-like company and the purchasing departments.
Attendees requires to be far from certain competition and even ruling participation out under certain circumstances.
I am in favor of the doubt but there have to be more similiarities between these sponsor than I expect. So I posted this.

Detach one side of the cap by twisting. This allows turning the cap down to the bottle neck. You can then hold the cap out of the way and the bottle with one hand.

What statement do you flag as assumption? Yes, I do. The modulo operator is only a subset of bit masks. It is more explicit to write:
if ( (variable &EVEN_MASK) == 0) …
To act upon even numbers then:
if ( (variable %1) == 0) …
How would you name the 1 in the above statement for more expressive power?
EVEN_MODULO_OP ? That may throw more people off imo.

You call it premature optimization. I call it obvious.

Actually the modulo operator is the wrong solution.

It is an opportunity to bind with your child. Make them face their fears playfully. Probably will strenghten its braverity.
Also, any matress needs air circulation beneath it. Otherwise it will get warm, stinky and very dirty.
