GTA is a large open world sandbox… Wanna crash cars? Play cards? Take on the army? Street race? Fly planes? See how many tow trucks a tow truck can tow? Short the stocks? Be a cabbie? [Insert online features here… Not my cup of tea]
Thanks to mods it can also be played similar to Garry’s Mod, Track Mania, Forza… Whatever…
It’s a sandbox…

Dumbest take. They put the corrals out there because they expect lazy people.

Conditional air conditioning as it were. Novel.

Nah burger king is garbage unless you only want the calories. Fake broil ass taste is worse than any other burger option. Id sooner eat the cheapest microwave ready hamburgers.

Nothing really contradicts what I said… And as for the excuse? You paid for it. Was the restaurant empty? Sounds like it’s working.
I’m not fanning the $24 burger, but the cost of ingredients is only the starting point. Doesn’t just apply to burgers either… Look at apple products, beers, cars… Again… Sounds like it’s working.

Yes there are tradeoffs.
Your “yet somehow a struggling mother can take on babysitting” is wholly because of these tradeoffs… and depending on specifics, may be getting paid less than minimum wage.
She effectively is operating in the gig economy. That’s a whole can of worms itself.

Assuming a 9hr work day to cover another persons workday… Likely closer to 10hr due to commute… but I wouldn’t know.
200/9hr=22/hr
BSing utils at 300/mo is a mere 0.40/hr
BSing rent/mortgage at 1200/MO is 1.64/hr
So basically she’s getting $20/hr assuming she does all 3 jobs just within that 9hr.
Not terrible but it does raise more questions and definitely doesn’t scale well. Like presumably these are older kids that can be ignored while cooking and cleaning or that 9hr estimate is low… And prob isn’t caring insurance for this? And utils, rent/mortgage is quite possibly off considerably…
Comparing someone doing it out their house vs an actual business is always going to be silly.
- Comment on Absolutely 2 weeks ago:
Not sure how one can care about the price if they don’t bother to read the price off the menu. Eating out regularly is stupid expensive regardless of fast food or proper sit down.
BOM isn’t the end of their costs and the rest will vary widely. You’re not just paying for a burger, but the service (wages) around it, the space and amenities averaged out including utils and rent, some profit likely for someone now quite removed from the business, etc… and you probably paid less of a margin% than a mcturd sandwich.

Not being able to communicate, participate, doesn’t help either side. Buying a house, without being able to communicate is on its way to forming and insular community and not simply being denied service that is otherwise open to the public.

Reread my post. You can do things at a desk, in an office, or at home…
- Comment on Anon is 23 3 weeks ago:
Yeah you can. Adequate breaks for eyes, standing desks, under desk elliptical/treadmill, etc… not that most employers will supply or allow it, but it can be overcome.

She can be a nurse and have minimal patient care… Like surgery or other out patient areas.
Wiping butts is usually a cna or licenseless role in my experience…but nursing homes are about the worst place to nurse.

Great write up! That makes sense given the use case… Fumbling with my random brand I often wondered if the Motorolas folks used on sites weren’t limited in physical functionality/buttons given the users… Are just users.
