I get that. I think my side projects get more work done than my actual work does! Have fun.

Please don’t advertise this as being Sanctioned by or associated with Beehaw site or administration. It’s okay to leave up, and of course just fine for your seed of such ; just setting expectations.
Thanks.

Won’t feel it until a Democrat is in office, if we ever have elections again. Of course, that’s who will get the blame.

So change the shebang to explicitly reference the venv python.
- Comment on Another reason to love Linux 2 weeks ago:
Solved problem. Python virtual environments. Or install another python version with your package manager and make sure the python script calls it in the shebang instead of a generic
/usr/bin/env python

This whole post is that. Just because someone disagrees with you (other post) doesn’t require a doubling down and an additional post of why you are right.

Re read the screenshot you posted of the technology community.
Then ask yourself if your personal grievances and opinion about other people fits the premis. You’re okay to talk about technology and give your opinion on it. But posting like this, just to air your problems, isn’t fit.
- Comment on Instance freezing as an alternative to full shut down 4 weeks ago:
ActivityPub does not have that feature or ability. Other federation type software does. But being as Lemmy is built with ActivityPub for federation, it can’t offer instance independent identities.
- Comment on Is lemm.we actually shutting down? 5 weeks ago:
I wish the best for the admin and mods of lemm.ee. I can attest to the frustration that is running any online community though, especially one built on/dependent on Lemmy. I am sorry to see you stepping out @sunaurus@lemm.ee but hope you’re doing alright otherwise. Was real nice bouncing ideas and changes off you in the past.

He fucked around and found out.

I disagree. If yo have a cookie cutter CRUD site and want every site to be the same and have the same bad performance or bad quality, sure, trust an LLM/AI. It’s you who will be left in the dust for true innovation.

Bad idea, blatant conflict of interest.
- Comment on How I Got Hacked: A Warning about Malicious PoCs 2 months ago:
Sorry for that, this is the technology community though. PoC in tech has a different meaning than others, being Proof of Concept. Each community or in groups have their own acronyms even if it overlaps others. I did not think that acronym in this context needed clarification.

Single player, not competitive and easygoing. Easy to pause when life demands and easy to pick up again when I get back to playing. Love they every time is different. Make your own goals and try to achieve them.

- Comment on The Extreme Disconnect between Game Journalists, Developers, and their Audience 5 months ago:
Would require frontend work and maybe some glue for the backend. I think the Photon Front end does some of those embeds. I’m sure there’s others, but not confident that any would work with Beehaw’s older Lemmy version. Better to spend energy on the sublinks convert, or my home-grown alternative Fediverse stack.

- Comment on Some subreddits could be paywalled, hints Reddit CEO - 9to5Mac 10 months ago:
I find a lot of good content on Reddit, but its different now as opposed to the early days. The good content used to be on Reddit. Now its not, its on one of 6 other sites, and Reddit is just the ad service they’re posting on. I am sick of the in joke comments and inane comments like “this”. I want discussion.
Reddit no longer has that.
