Good to know! But the out of the box version of DuckDuckGo.com does have AI on by default. I think it should be off by default.

Somewhat ironic given that DuckDuckGo has AI on by default. You have to either save the settings on the cloud or manually turn off AI when searching using DuckDuckGo. Still a good privacy search engine though.

- Comment on Microsoft is saving millions with AI and laying off thousands - where do we go from here? 3 weeks ago:
Impossible. Even in a world where AI can do everything perfectly, they still would not be able to disintegrate Microsoft products and support at the current pace Microsoft is doing it. With every Teams update, I honestly think it’s an April fools joke. There is no way it can be on purpose.

If real life was a movie, this is the part when the villain is winning and is getting everything they want. Like the end of Empire Strikes Back. All feels lost. Thankfully, in the movie the heroes are waiting in the wings rebuilding for the best chance to strike.
Unfortunately, in real life there are no heroes waiting.

She was on one of the teams that did if I remember correctly. I believe they split up into three teams and developed algorithms independently from one another. What surprised everyone was when they came back, all three teams had more or less the same image. It’s been a while so I may be wrong on some details. But it wasn’t just her is my point.
- Comment on Bam Margera Is Out of Jail and Headed to Rehab 10 months ago:
Must be nice to be a celebrity. He just violated probation on a different charge and then gets charged with a DUI and reckless driving. He has repeatedly shown he won’t follow through with rehab, yet:
“The judge, during his proceedings, found Margera’s previous DUI incidents concerning and said that rather than punishing Bam, he should instead seek treatment.”
Us peasants would be in jail.
- Comment on Andrew Greenberg, co-creator of the classic RPG Wizardry, has passed away 11 months ago:
Wizardry V, The Heart of Maelstrom was probably the hardest game I’ve ever played. Without the internet to cheat, it was a incredibly frustrating challenge and I never beat it until much later when I used walkthroughs and an emulator. Great game though. RIP, Andrew.
