I roast my veggies in mine and it’s great. Less time, gas, and overall heat than my gas one. Don’t cook fish in it, though.

This post appeared on my everything feed. I don’t know shit about radios, but it looks like your first venture into this hobby was a huge success. Congrats!

Anthony Jeselnik would be hilarious as a host of any awards show

This actually happened to me. I spent the whole day imagining how blue my ass was, too distracted to truly enjoy myself. Obviously I told everyone because I also thought it was funny but… UGH

Imagine being the first one to use a fresh porta potty. No smell, other than that blue chemical water down at the bottom. It’s so damn clean.
“Great!” you exclaim with excitement. So you sit down on that smooth dry toilet seat and, relaxing, a tremendous donker just falls right out of you.
The mass is too great. The distance. The speed and acceleration. It isn’t even a second of time, but you know. You know.
GaTHUNK
A cold blue kiss races towards the moon. A moon so relaxed the single crater yawns beckoningly wide. The kiss forms into a dull spear, racing towards the darkened maw. It enters beyond the shadow. Fully into the heavenly body. Cold meets heat.
You yelp in shock. There is cold artificially blue water deep in your butthole. The sudden tension passes and as your muscles relax again, some of that cold drains back down to earth. A light shower.
You were looking forward to this festival all year and you spend the entire time distractedly thinking in shame about how something so fortuitous turned to disaster in moments. You didn’t bring a change of underwear. Why would you?
- Comment on Dave Chappelle’s Obsession With Mocking Trans People Continues in New Netflix Special ‘The Dreamer’: ‘I Love Punching Down’ 11 months ago:
What’s interesting is that I can’t even take this comment at face value, without further context. Is this a well-thought observation from the POV of a trans person who is intimately aware of their struggle in a broader context? Does this commenter understand the nature of comedy, or more specifically, Dave Chappelle, more deeply than I do? Can I add my opinion to this heated subject being a CIS male who is also a minority? Does any of the aforementioned even matter?
What I can say is that I’ve liked certain parts of his comedy. When it hits it’s incredible. When it doesn’t I feel like I’m watching 80s Eddie Murphy again.
While I believe that anyone and anything is fair game in comedy, I don’t believe that how he’s done it towards trans people has been in pursuit of comedy. In his previous specials it came across as shallow othering without the nuance that comes from actually seeing the subject as human. There’s no payoff.
It just reminds me of my upbringing where gay (and queer) bashing for the sake of itself was normal. At this point in my life I’d rather continue distancing myself from that stuff than try to read between the lines.

I don’t know about you but I watch it at 1.5% with a heavy hand on skipping all recaps. Also yes it reaches near dbz-levels of screaming

Plus if you like it enough to watch the anime you can skip like 50 episodes

That was surprisingly easy to find. Less than 5 seconds, and I’m easily stumped by these kinds of things. One of the beans looks like it has a toothy smile just up and to the left of him and I zeroed in on that first.

Finally saw it on an airplane. It really is that good, although I wish I’d seen it on a larger screen without the airline’s watermark floating by

Ha I also asked my dad about it maybe 10-15 years ago. He’s a huge scifi fan and I tore through his library of asimov, Heinlein, silverberg, Anderson, etc as a teen 10 years before that. He remains convinced that it’s a satire from a conservative about dangerous conservatism. Which is funny to write as a lefty
- Comment on Would you work for a corporation that you oppose ideologically, if the pay is good? 1 year ago:
Absolutely. And I did so to afford my family’s medical needs, food, shelter, etc. The pay was almost 3x what I made previously, which wasn’t a lot. Benefits, flexibility, all that shit. And then they laid off my entire team hahahahahaha
and I’d do it again

And from the article you posted elsewhere, the “Luddite” term comes from his children because he doesn’t use a smartphone. Which he basically says if he had one it would negatively affect his creative productivity. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
There’s also nothing inherently wrong with practical effects and film stock. On top of that, the practical effects he uses in camera are rarely untouched by digital vfx
