At that point, I would just switch it off at night.

Well, if that’s what it’s going to be used for then I’ve switched it off. Stupid use of the system.
On android search emergency alerts in your settings.
- Comment on Tonyrefail ice cream man hit with van chimes noise complaint 1 week ago:
I know, but I think the law’s not strong enough.
Do you think it’s acceptable to blare advertising into peoples homes? Especially when that advertising is for high sugar kid snacks sold on the backs of kid pressure on parents?
- Comment on Tonyrefail ice cream man hit with van chimes noise complaint 1 week ago:
I posted this one so I can get my Ice cream van hatred out in the comments.
I’m sure some people will just think I’m some sort of monster but I don’t think these vans should be allowed to blast advertising into my house without my consent. Not at any time of the day, I like to nap.
I’m lucky that my new house the ICV hardly ever comes round and the guy who drives it doesn’t have insane volume so I don’t really have a problem with that. At my old address the ICV used to totally blast out the chimes every fucking day, could hear it all afternoon until at some point he parked right in front of my house and plays it.
Fuck Ice cream vans, ban them all tbh. I have to put up with a sugar tax for the kids, I think selling them high sugar ice cream from mobile vans causing kid pressure on parents should also be a thing of the past.

No, more drilling in the north sea? of course…
- Comment on [Video] Hasan Piker wonders why he is banned from the UK but Elon Musk is not after inciting race-riots in Belfast 1 month ago:
Yeah I also saw it, he clearly has a shock collar on the dog and the dog clearly reacts to him going for it.
Furthermore, what was he even annoyed at the dog for in the first place, for moving out of his camera view? Pet’s aren’t props.
You don’t have to ignore reality just because he sometimes says things you agree with. This kind of parasocial relationship is deeply pathetic.

It’s all on video.

I dunno, I agree with a lot of things he says but I watched that video with the dog and it looks pretty clear to me that he did have a shock collar on the dog.
He may not have actually pressed it on screen, but he moved his hand to it and the dog knew exactly what that meant and you could see it in the reaction.
The fact he seemingly wants to force an animal to sit in the corner like an ornament for his stream in the first place is also particularly problematic.

Fuck that, I’m adult paying for internet service.
I don’t ever watch porn on a mobile, but it’s not the point. I don’t want my internet filtered and it’s a pure excuse to track and monitor us all at all times.

Like yes, I agree with you, however I used to live near a playground and the sound of screaming kids can get pretty annoying after a while.
Like, why scream like that all the time???

Really think this should come from Energy companies profits rather than other bill payers.
Though in fact my policy is full nationalisation, no compensation for shareholders and then sort it out with real investments.

Great idea, I’ve felt vets are taking the piss with the cost of medication on a few occasions. One time I paid £80 for ear drops you can get in boots for a fiver.

Tesco value acid
Yes, I would want to see that, I don’t understand the objection.
Is Big Daz’s looney tabs, which are on offer from your local dealer currently, any better somehow?
- Comment on Green leader Zack Polanski backs legalisation of all drugs 10 months ago:
Right, but people take all those drugs anyway even though it is illegal.
All prohibition does is mean it’s unregulated, unsafe and a huge waste of policing resources and ruined lives (mostly via enforcement).
Drugs should be a health issue, not a policing one.

nationalising trains
Sorry, but no, they haven’t. Some franchies expired and returned to state ownership, which was a Tory policy and several TOC’s reverted under them.
sort of) nationalising steel
No they haven’t.
nationalising a part of our energy sector
Again, no they haven’t, GB Energy whatever the fuck it actually is, is not nationalising energy.
If they had actually done those things, then yes they might be in the win column.
bringing the NHS back under direct public control
Total vague nonsense, how’s outcomes doing? No real change?
ending various tax-dodging loopholes, such as the IHT for farmers and non-dom taxes
They chickened out on that and for me, it’s not nearly enough and exactly shows the problem with Keir Starmer and his boring pussy arsed government. IHT should be like 100% over a certain amount, there should be no generational wealth. He should be making that case and it would certainly set him apart from Farage and company.
windfall tax on energy companies
Probably the first one we can unambiguously say ‘ok’ on… Though of course, not really because the energy windfall tax was a Tory policy from 2022 and all they did was increase the rate from 25% to 28%.
I really cannot be arsed to go though the rest, but suffice to say.
Bullshit mate.
