Considering he helped create Windows while working at Microsoft, and allegedly left due to the direction it was going, yes.

Fair. It’s nothing special, just a quick lazy print with some acrylic markers for the nacelles. I wanted to see how it would turn out, wasn’t going for display quality, but for a toy around the house I’m happy with how it turned out. Lego figure for scale. It’s a little smaller than the Ent D - maybe $3 of material?
- Comment on Godot Engine – 2025 Showreel 2 weeks ago:
Look, I code websites and apps and I know nothing about game dev. I dabble. But I don’t see any reason why an informed indie dev or studio would choose Unity over Godot at this point after what they tried to pull a few years ago.
Unreal a different beast, but the versatility of Godot has been proven at this point and is on full display in this showcase, and from my uneducated standpoint seems to hold its own vs Unity’s offerings.

I’m still learning, but I don’t see it being more than 500g if you were to print it yourself. Keep in mind a 3D print is going to have about a 15% infill, where the Legos are solid plastic, so the Lego version will use more raw materials and be heavier by nature.
1kg of good quality PLA or PETG can be had on Amazon for about $13 on sale, definitely under $20. So, you’re using maybe $6-$10 USD of raw plastic?
Keep in mind you either need to sand and paint it, or use multiple colors to get something “good” looking, but for my Akira class I just printed it grey and used some acrylic paint markers to do some quick details. I’m lazy, so mine looks like crap up close, but from a distance it looks alight on my shelf, and it’s cheap enough that my 5 year old can grab it and play spaceship with no stress on my end.

I love Lego. I played with them often as a kid, and I love sharing the Lego games with my son, had season passes to legoland, and appreciate the humor they add into everything now of days. The accessories for the TNG crew are a perfect showcase of this.
With that said, yeah, the Lego Ent D is slightly less expensive than my multi-color 3D printer, and I’m more than happy with the Akita Class I printed a month ago. Maybe I’ll print the Enterprise D in the next few days to celebrate.
- Comment on Sliced off the tip of my thumb, what are some good one handed games? 2 weeks ago:
Pokémon Let’s Go [Eevee / Pikachu] can be played with a single joycon vertical in one hand. They designed it to be played with their Pokéball controller, accidentally making it super accessible.

I can wait to play this on PC. I’m due for a dread replay though, perhaps after I complete Silksong.

There was a prime 3? After reading your post, I recall 1 and 2. 3 escapes me, although I must have completed it…

When was the last time you used Big Picture? I have a micro ITX build hooked up to my TV running Bazzite desktop, and have Big Picture loading at boot.
It’s a console. And it’s fantastic. It also lets me mod it so I can make it look like a Wii U if I wanted.

You got Jazz Jackrabbit to run on the steam deck? I tried to install everything GOG had available (including 2) and had no success with heroic. Teach me your ways.
- Comment on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - Summer Game Fest Trailer 5 months ago:
Thanks for the suggestion! I think I have one of those from a humble bundle, I’ll have to check it out again (it’s been a while). The main thing I’m looking for is a kid friendly “auto steer / auto accelerate” mode that still gives him some sense of control. I noticed a lot of Nickelodeon, licensed games don’t include any voice acting, which irritates me, but the kiddo probably won’t mind.
- Comment on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - Summer Game Fest Trailer 5 months ago:
Disney speedstorm has solid gameplay…. At the expense of being pay to win in most modes. I payed enough to “unlock” split screen and politely explained to my kiddo he can only be one of like 3 characters. Damn shame the game has a slot machine barrier. As soon as this sonic game drops though I’m grabbing it.

It worked for USB C? And y’all have alternate app stores over there too. I don’t believe it’s unrealistic to guarantee that a product you sell will remain functional after support ends.

Can’t wait to watch Sam Porter Bridges building bridges as a porter for Bridges - without controller input.

I used to buy Levi’s, but not only have they dropped quality, they introduced some weird “in the know” naming scheme where they still make “old” Levi’s, but just charge $200 a pop for them. Now I just grab Kirkland.

Nothing to see here, just Sony doing Sony things. Money burning a hole in your pocket? Go grab a handful of indie games.
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 7 months ago:
I think it kills game leaks before the street date. Even if the data isn’t in the carriage (which is stupid), you would still be able to sell the cartage assuming the online service is still active.
Sucks for game preservation though. I’m personally hoping there’s some flaw in the gen 1 hardware that can be exploited for archive purchases.

I love Frakes. He’s just so passionate about what he’s working on and honestly it’s so rare to see people in his role geek out so much - not only does he “get it”, but he loves it - and as a fan I’m here for it.
- Comment on Microsoft may lose $120 million due to the Overwatch League shutdown 2 years ago:
I don’t think that a forced esports league was going to prosper anyway. Things like EVO,l and pre-accusation MLG where the focus is independent of the game are where esports can flourish. It’s important to note that games change and interests shift, these “leagues” don’t have the staying power like traditional sports leagues.
With that said, Microsoft now owns the MLG name and assets, and could build that back up if they had interest.
- Comment on Alright, where do I begin? 2 years ago:
Strange New Worlds (SNW) is the single best entry point for someone new to the franchise, and that’s a black mountain I’m willing to die on. It blends modern storytelling with the classic Trek formula, and since it’s basically a pickup of the original Pilot, it’s pretty darn close do the beginning of the timeline.
Strange New Worlds offers an accessible entry point that holds the same core as The Next Generation (TNG) or the original series (TOS). There’s only two seasons so far, but if you like it and are craving more, I recommend watching TNG afterwards, and continuing that line in order of series air date (DS9, VOY, ENT).
It’s easy for many of us to recommend our favorite series, or our own entry points, but the reality is most of Trek is dated and not a good place to start for someone used to modern television.
