I can imagine between Game Grumps, The Grumps, Ninja Sex Party, the extra Patreon content, and other schedules, they can get quite busy lol.

I haven’t played in about a month, but the Corvette update really got my interest renewed. Soon as that dropped, my first thought was how Hello Games basically out-Starfielded Starfield. Having completely walkable interiors on near-infinitely editable ships made things a lot more fun, although also a smidge OP. Methinks I should jump back in! Really need to try VR mode again too.

It’s unfortunate they never finished it. 2 eps then poof. Game is right up their alley with the humor.

I’ve heard of that bug but never encountered it. I have had zed spawn in a few times in interiors before, but never a horde level, more of a “Surprise! I bit you in the dark and now you’re already dead.” On B42 the mod author stated it wouldn’t be out until 42 was marked stable, so a few other modders (BuchoJefe & Mickey Knox primarily) jumped the gun and added their own versions of RV Interior. I use the former’s mod, and it’s pretty solid, as it randomizes interiors. Doesn’t always make sense (like an ambulance interior in a van or box truck), but weird conversions are a thing, so I think it fits in. Adding in Vanvival makes it even more OP, unless you make it part of the lore.
Glad to see you’re playing it again on 503!

Yeah, sorry if I push Week One so much. I feel it’s the only way I can play Zomboid anymore as it adds so much “realism” to the start of the game. I really hope The Indie Stone hire the guy sooner than later as despite the jank in the mod (he is technically replacing zed with NPCs on a limited codebase afaik), it just works so well on the build-up from days 1-7. Not having an MP option for B42 yet also sucks. I’m primarily an SP type of person, so the MP aspect isn’t high on my list.

The Only Cure! What an immersive way to handle the dreaded “bitten” notice in the health panel. Having to retrain yourself in using tools with your prosthetic is such a great way to extend your playthrough when the inevitable happens.
Damn though, the mod scene for this game is just ever expanding. Rocking B42 myself so no multiplayer yet, but some fantastic modders have implemented some of the best mods over from B41.
I still can’t recommend Week One enough. Slayer has done a great job, and added some great scenarios to make the game a bit dicier at the start, and there’s some very active development on his Discord about the upcoming addition called The Ark.

Still kicking around in my Gen 3. Bought it used in 2016 as I was putting 90 miles a day for commute, but now I work barely 10 minutes away. Sometimes I get to work quicker then it can jump into EV mode.

The Wii, least the earlier models (I think), were also backwards compatible with GC games and had controller ports under the top hatch.

I tend to play PZ almost exclusively with the Week One mod, so being able to kit out a mobile base and then settle into a basement during the “final days” works quite nicely, and may also allow me to beat the plane crash incident in the days just before. Plus after the fallout (nuke or not) being to then find a basement after to settle down in gives the option of multiple bases if i live long enough, or if i decide to continue playthrough with another player in that instance if the inevitable happens.

Oh just one more mod can’t hurt… But now I’ll be able to watch TNG in the comfort of my own RV!
This’ll be fun, thanks!

Same actually. I got some nice RGB customization, it was comfy, had a right handed thumb rest, and the price was right. Only thing it didn’t have like the Basilisk was BT functionality, which in my use case wasn’t a deal breaker. Software wasn’t bloated either.

I’ve been using a Redragon M690 Pro as my home daily driver, and I retired my Razer Basilisk x Hyperspeed to my office, although the latter started having issues with middle clicking. The 690 is nice so far though. I don’t any twitch shooters, more of a slow burn style, so ymmv.

You just had to put Chemical Zone as the first pic… Childhood horror unlocked. That music.
It was also truly novel at the time to use a secondary cartridge to enhance the first 3 games, injecting that unique echidna traversal into each one. Were there any other games that did that?
On the upside, the trailer for Mania was a real treat when it first dropped and it also got me to love Nitro Fun and Hyper Potions. I think I’ll jump back into it tomorrow 😁

You aren’t wrong about the SP getting boring at times. I’ll usually find myself kitted out after a week in game and bored and then asking “what next?”, and then I’ll either create a new character in that same world but on the other side of the map, and see how far they can get. Still waiting for mods like RV Interiors to be released, as they are holding out until a proper stable beta of B42 is released… so that could be some time. Granted I’ve also been using Week One as a baseline mod for PZ, as it revitalizes the baseline start to be more in line with “how does this apocalypse truly go down?”. Is it perfect, far from it, but it adds just enough plausibility to make you feel immersed even further. As for MP, I’m not a fan at all. I tend to play most all games SP, as I’m a very patient gamer and usually jump onto the MP bandwagon too late to feel included.

I will say that CDDA has piqued my interest, but I’m not a huge fan of turn based anything, although weirdly I will get into some of them. May have to give this a shot myself… once I have time.
I think I’ve been spoiled by the massive modding community with PZ, as I feel there’s always something that’s added that feel right within the game world. Sure, there are plenty of non-lore friendly mods, but stuff like adding all the classic consoles into the loot pile, or real world foods keep the immersion up quite well.

Always gonna recommend Project Zomboid. Yeah it may look like the Sims (which oddly is where TIS got their art influence from), but it’s pretty darn unforgiving. Hell, I lost my last character without realizing how, chalking it up to some strange drug interaction (aka don’t drink and take sleeping pills, kids). Resource management, while not a direct focal point for PZ, is still important as you are watching every aspect of your character’s health and wellbeing.
The latest beta build 42 has incorporated some new mechanics and a nicer lighting system so things feel proper spooky when slinking around in the darkness. And don’t even get me started on the modding community. Infinite possibilities and a constant influx of new content, some which gets so popular it’s adding into the base gameplay. Look up Week One if you want more than just a zed simulator.
I also second Stardew if you are also looking to scratch that cozy gaming itch.
