Oh yeah I do see the slippery slope of this whole deal, the only thing that irked me was the wording of this comment as if xhamster is a basic human freedom, but I find that a little odd since xhamster and pornhub steal from sex workers to provide it “for free” y’know.
But with the banning of books and trans people unable to get in or out of the country… It is fucked up and scary.

Free porn is basic freedom?

As someone who lives in an opposite bubble, this post was funny to me in a wholesome way. I love how respectful you’re asking this while being fucking confused.
To answer your question: none of my queer/gay friends do this gesture specifically, so it seems it is just a quirky thing he does :)
- Comment on the person who abused(?) me (who I’m breaking free from and focusing on me💪) acted like this: is this common with certain mental health conditions? 1 week ago:
There is no disability which needs a human punching bag as an accommodation.

Unrelated but I always call myself dumb which “isn’t that deep” but I recently realized I do feel dumb when asking questions when in fact we are the opposite of dumb since we want to expand our knowledge and we know that we don’t know. Most people just stay ignorant and don’t want to see themselves as not knowing everything and thus they stay dumb.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted talk and you’re not dumb!

Dub watchers are either German (they love dubbing the fuck out of everything) or English speakers (they’re not used to not having content in their native language so subtitles distract them)

Hmm I’m in (western) Europe and don’t get any volume warnings at all. Not sure why.

Fun fact: I tried looking up things about cerebral palsy and got warned about illegal activity. Was confused for a while.

Agreed but I do like the lore of pepe technically truly being dead because of his fascist undertone nowadays. Kinda funny.

The creator of pepe declared him dead
- Comment on Pros / cons of riding a bike? 8 months ago:
You can say disabled, it’s not a bad word! :) there are quite a few bike options for disabled people actually. From 3 wheeled bikes to handbike/ebike hybrids. It’s awesome.

Im still not sure if I’m buying this one for switch. I love Stardew and pokemon but I feel like “life sims” are just feeling more and more like a chore because they’re all so alike.
Example: I liked coral island for the ocean cleanup part. After that I kinda quit because it became the same old same old again.
- Comment on I hate leaf blowers with the passion of 1000 suns. 8 months ago:
All summer it’s the weekly lawn mowers and then it’s the leaf blowers and year round it’s all of the neighbors constantly using drills and saws and other equipment.
I may be overstimulated in this country.

I know how desperate it feels, but this isn’t a safe solution for her. She needs to get our of there ASAP, in secret, and then she can block his number. “sabotaging” him will infuriate him which can have disastrous consequences.
- Comment on Bike Riders of lemmy, you okay with me riding my eScooter in the bike lane? 1 year ago:
I’m the Netherlands where everyone and their mom rides bikes and we have bike lanes everywhere, escooters / ebikes / regular scooters all go on the bike lane. It’s less dangerous to go a bit slower than a fast biking person (like a grandma on a regular bike) and just staying on the right, than the dangers on the sidewalk.
