As a PC Gamer, why would I block it?
I am not overly interested in the game, don’t care it it gets spoilt because it won’t be on PV for a few years probably. I am not going to be able to avoid spoilers for that long.
There has been no official gameplay. And honestly, I don’t have enough time. There is way too many games to play to be worried about 1.
My backlog is long and scary… And it’s getting longer
- Comment on Rewatching the Raimi Spider-Man movies and realized MJ constantly cheats or emotional cheats in every single movie. 5 days ago:
When you watch Spider-Man 2 and you realise Ursula is the much better option than MJ.
- Comment on Rideshare Stimulator finally gets its genAI disclosure after much Saber-rattling, and it turns out the game also uses the tech for in-game music 5 days ago:
It’s a shame, because they have been involved in some great games. Especially early on, with games like time shift and inversion (but being pretty good lower budget games), and the World War Z and leading into Space Marine 2 withe their fun horde tech.
Their stance here though is the nail in the coffin though, well maybe shotgun to the feet. Will steer clear of them now.

Ohhh, this will probably be a controversial take, but I am going to frame if to “most disappointing” instead of least favourite.
Batman Arkham City.
Firstly, it is still a great game. I am not stupid enough to say it’s bad. And it is better than Origins and Knight.
But, Asylum is such a beautiful and intricate game with some of the best level design. It is an almost perfect Metroidvania. And then they jumped to the open world for the rest of the games.
That jump, doesn’t particularly add anything, and while Gotham looks great, it is mostly empty and skipped over as you glide and hook to the next indoor section. Outside of some challenges and riddler trophies, it actually is just terrible padding of low level mobs for the most part.
The reason I chose City over knight is precedent, that first jump to open world for me really reduced how much I was invested in the world/areas of the game.
I still love it, and the improvement to combat and gadgets are great, but Asylum will always be king of the Batman games(City is a close but disappointing 2nd)
- Comment on More People Are Pre-ordering The $100 Edition Of GTA 6 1 week ago:
Also to add on to this, while we are in a cost of living crisis, that doesn’t mean people can’t save money towards purchases like this either. If you started putting back 5 or 10 a month since it was announced you’d have plenty saved, especially with the delays.
I don’t think it’s a good idea considering we haven’t seen anything yet, but I am not their audience.

Definitely not right… But we can make it work
- Comment on modern classic 2 weeks ago:
For me, I am choosing 1, if I am having a wooden floor, I would rather paint the walls. Or keep the walls and re-carpet it.
I would probably re-carpet myself. Something soft so it’s a more cozy space, where you want to be relaxing barefoot (no shoes allowed kinda deal).
I would always leave the “brick work” exposed. That being painted is a crime, as it is a center piece of the room. I also don’t think I would paint the beams black, I prefer them wooden.

I dont mind the Top 10 Carousel, but it would be nice if it has a Title and a Rating under it.
A lot of the “For You” algorithm stuff is fine, but I would prefer to have that in a Table. Title, Synopsis, Rating, length, Director, Cast. so if it sounds interesting, I can click through, but I am not going back and forth constantly.
Also gimmie a bit list I can sort. You can even have things like Movie Posters show when hovering over the name.

- Comment on Valve’s Steam Controller stock shortage will last until next year after fans massively exceeded expectations 1 month ago:
I am not shocked to be honest.
Sure the first steam controller wasn’t great, but it was unique and provided controller access to games that just didn’t work with them. I hated mine for controller games, but was nice to sit back and relax on something slower that required mouse input (think a management game).
Then they followed up with the steam deck, which is ridiculously good.
The lessons learnt from the original and the fact that this provides a fantastic experience for standard controller and non controller games makes this an easy recommendation.
It is the best overall controller for me, 2nd in comfort to hold(the PS5 controller sits slightly better in my hands), but 1st in comfort to use(I like the high places sticks) couple that with the rest of the features and if you want a really good controller and have uses for the touch pads it is worth every penny.
If you are never going to use the touchpads or even attempt to use them, then get something more traditional like an 8-bit do ultimate or something.
And not to say it is perfect, but I think there are only 2 minor things I would like in a revision. Slightly more textured grips/back, and trigger stops(although I don’t think I will ever use them personally I know people would like them).

I grabbed Mina the Hollower. After finishing 007 First Light this evening, I feel like that will be a good game to follow up with. And will be a nice deck game when I want to play in bed
Other than that it is a back log kinda year(and playing my brother’s games through family sharing)
- Comment on 1 month ago:
Yea, but someone saying that and it being true are very different beasts. Rockstar have not said anything about install size. And that also ignores that compression is applied as well, which would make it smaller.
Also… Oh no… 3 whole discs? What ever would they do!
- Comment on 1 month ago:
If it is on 20 blu rays they better start shipping it on SSDs instead.
But let’s be honest, it’s not going to be 2TB for the compressed installation. Probably around 100 to 200gb that will be needed, meaning it would need 2 discs at most.
Now, I am pretty old, so I have played a fair few games that came on multiple Disks, CDs and DVDs. Some of my favourite games are on 4 discs.
- Comment on I still can't get over Skyrim. Are there any games that can replace it? 2 months ago:
To throw in a couple more too consider, alongside the other great recommendations.
If you don’t mind it being different, you should check out Divinity Original Sin and it’s sequel, and also Baldurs Gate 3. Turn based and squad combat with an isometric view, might be a bit too much of a departure from Skyrim. But it does offer a lot of depth and systems, with a fantastic world to explore and experience.
- Comment on Xbox pulls Gears video featuring a PS5 logo, 24 hours after announcing it as an exclusive 2 months ago:
Honestly, I don’t have enough time or money to be worry about missing out on Sony games. They are good, but not that good. And there are so many good games that are on PC(my preferred platform), that I will not notice Sony being gone.
- Comment on What’s your favorite video game that most people didn’t like ?? 2 months ago:
I also liked Watch Dogs, I enjoyed the darker tone and it’s more serious setting. Good game play, story was good enough, a bit janky with some optimization issues. But overall it was good.
I don’t think I really cared about the downgrade either. But it really was around when my trust in what Devs and publishers were saying about their games was the lowest. So many games were bullshots and rendered trailers so you took the idea and if it was interesting you just waited to see the actual product.
Cyberpunk was also my game of the year, I had immense fun with the launch version and I was lucky enough to have minimal bugs and most were dumb shit. I think I had 2 which were gameplay and caused issues. It launched in a terrible state and I expect it as well, CDPR don’t have a great history of releasing bug free games. But, they do have a history of patching and fixing the broken bits. It also should not have been anywhere near the old gen consoles, that was stupid.
- Comment on PlayStation Console Owners Launch Class-Action Lawsuit Against Sony Over Tariff Refunds 2 months ago:
Pretty sure that Sony is suing because the tariffs were deemed illegal. So if they win that, they are profiting off of illegally obtained money from consumers.
I might be wrong with the assessment of that, but also not American or really following it.

- Comment on My quest to get a steam controller has failed 3 months ago:
Much closer to the steam deck. So has proper d pad, 2 analogue sticks with 2 square touch pads. Also has 4 back buttons, and capacitive touch sections on the grips. Has a few other features as well.
- Comment on Driving game poll 3 months ago:
So I have a couple thousand hours across different sim racing games, and honestly this doesn’t have any appeal to me.
I like the skill and the challenge of racing, but just aimlessly driving around would be a terrible idea. No times to chase, no desire to improve, no players to challenge you and your driving.
There is a game which is potentially going to have this sort of gameplay, Assetto Corsa Evo, they have plans for an open world area around the Eifel area of Germany, which has the Nordschleife as the centre of it.

- Comment on Jensen Huang says gamers are 'completely wrong' about DLSS 5 — Nvidia CEO responds to DLSS 5 backlash 5 months ago:
Right there with you. Have a 4080, and only reason I got this one, was because it was cheaper(by a sizable chunk) than the 7900xtx when I got it.
- Comment on Fighting games have a product design problem 5 months ago:
You can replicate that with ranked, because you match people of similar skill levels. SF6 has you go from rookie to diamond which is matched with people of similar skill levels, usually within ±1 rank so a gold 2 Vs a gold 3. Then when you get to diamond there is a small chance to match against a Master rank and you get higher reward for beating them(up to 250lp). Then when you have climbed to the top of Diamond 5, you move to master rank. In Master you then switch to a proper elo system.
This removes the vast majority of people getting absolutely stomped on by people who have 1000+ hours when you have 10. You still have to put in time and effort if you want to get better like you did as a kid, but you’re more likely to get fun and closer matches.

- Comment on Horizon Hunters Gathering reportedly delays Horizon 3, as Sony prioritizes multiplayer PS5 game 6 months ago:
I have bought a handful in the last 2-3 years. Street Fighter 6 a couple costumes, Juri Onesie and Blanka-chan. And… That is about it to be honest. You could add the battle pass for The Finals I guess as that’s all cosmetic
- Comment on As player numbers fall, Highguard makes the actually-quite-good 5v5 mode permanent 6 months ago:
I feel like a lot of it is dumb people jumping on the bandwagon. But I do think a lot of the dislike/ disappointment since launch was warranted, things like terrible performance, the long matches which had weird downtime. 3v3 on ridiculous sized maps.
I didn’t like the trailer, and I definitely don’t think it should have been the finale for game awards(hurt it way more), but the dumb hate wagon for it and calling it concord 2 was dumb.
- Comment on What is the definitive way to play certain games? 6 months ago:
Quite niche, but sim racing, I will pick Assetto Corsa Rally as an example.
The definitive way to play is with a proper rig. 9nm+ Direct Drive wheel base, round wheel, a sequential shifter, handbrake and decent load cell pedals. Put it up on a nice ultrawide or triple screen and have an amazing time sliding through the forest. You can also do VR, for complete immersion as well.
Buuut that’s also the expensive way, you can also have a load of fun with a controller or cheaper wheel on a desk.
- Comment on Ignoring all the hype (and hate), Highguard needs a lot of work - SkillUp 6 months ago:
I keep seeing people saying that another team could work. But I think that would actually have a massive detrimental effect on the game. That adds another base, less chance of a comeback, and then you end up where you started in a 3v3 in an even more empty map with even longer matches.
This needs larger teams. Like 8v8 or 10v10 so you actually end up with skirmishes during the downtime. Your still going to have long matches, but at least something is more likely to happen. Or they need to rework the formula of the matches a fair bit.
- Comment on Forza Horizon 6 - Official Gameplay Teaser Trailer 6 months ago:
If you just want to jump into something small, and single player. Super Woden Rally Edge would be my first suggestion.
Then from there you can decide what you want to jump in to next, more rally would be Assetto Corsa Rally, or Maybe something a little older like Dirt rally 2 or EAs WRC. Rally is probably the easier choice for controller if you want to start diving in to more sim racing stuff.
If you decide you want to look more into track racing, check out Raceroom as it is free and you can do a few weeks of their free multiplayer races(learn the tracks first) or some free stuff in single player, or you can grab something like Automobilista 2 on a sale for cheap, these are both pretty drivable on a game pad, but a bit easier to jump in on a wheel. Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Evo are probably not great on a game pad to jump into, but pretty good options for driving on a wheel, with something like Le Mans Ultimate being the current multiplayer sim racing game of choice(not including iRacing).
If you decide that you want to stick to something more arcade, and controller friendly then Forza Horizon is really good and probably the best option. Gran Tourismo 7 is also a good option if you are only on playstation.
