God that’s so corporate-coded - instead of fixing your divisions so they are all profitable, just take your two successful divisions and squeeze them like you’re trying to get blood out of a stone.

Multiverse Thanos where he tries to wipe out the 50% most destructive, but snaps himself out of existence first because even by trying he made himself the most destructive person in the universe.

- Comment on Hey All! I just logged back into my account for the first time since 2013! Question for you! 1 year ago:
Yup, instead of increasing the level cap, there is now a mastery system. Your xp combines with “mastery points” to unlock new abilities like gliding, mushroom jumping, or mount abilities. There’s no more stat increase, no better armor or weapons after 80. Progression is horizontal instead of vertical. Your character doesn’t get better, you get new ways to play.

What I suspect the Hexbear will tell you is that NATO has committed large scale crimes and NATO soldiers have also raped women, you just won’t hear about it on western media because it doesn’t fit their imperialist propaganda narrative.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
So it sounds like the plan is support fascism, for what? To sacrifice who knows how many women, trans people, genderqueer people, POC, just so after society falls there possibly might be a Hail Mary throw at achieving communism?
- Comment on Dethroning lemmy.ml, lemm.ee rises as the second most active instance 1 year ago:
There’s quite a few instances with pronouns, which is great.
Hexbear stands out to me for using double sets of pronouns, presumably because twice as many pronouns means you’re twice as progressive, and therefore twice as superior to people with only one set of pronouns.

Liberalism is a capitalist ideology that promotes private ownership of the means of production
Absolutely false. It espouses private ownership. This can mean your own clothes, your own phone, your own computer, your own house, your own sentimental belongings, instead of everything being communally shared.
It is possible for the means of production, like factories, to be communally owned, while still allowing for small personal private ownership. You can strike a balance between liberalism and private ownership, and communism and communal ownership.
It’s not a black and white binary choices between “everything is private” and “everything is communal”.

I’ve seen posts of Hexbears saying they’ll vote for Trump, with no pushback from anyone else.
I had a Hexbear today tell me that it’s okay that Russian soldiers rape women and children in Ukraine because ML’s support violence for their cause and that’s just how it is.
It’s a small minority of Hexbears who hold abhorrent positions, but the rest of Hexbears tolerate them.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
** And take notice that while ML’s claim to not support Russia, they’ll often jump to Russia’s defense, despite Russia funding alt-right and neo-Nazi movements in America
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
I’m all for Marxism, but I haven’t observed the “body of economic theory” having any relevance, except as a snooby self-righteous justification for authoritarianism and violence.
Even if you were to strip all moral interpretation away, violence and authoritarianism is unstable and ineffective. ML’s in practice are fake progressives, because they don’t even care for finding a stable effective solution. The progression of society is no longer the point.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
Basically the only difference between ML and the alt-right is that the alt-right wants violence against “libtards”, and ML’s want violence against “shitlibs”, while being insufferably snobby about pretending to be morally superior because they didn’t use an abliest slur.
It’s like you just took a fascist and put them on a liberal’s moral high horse.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
Yeah, well when Hexbear hears that wives and daughters are being raped and says “giving Ukrainians weapons to help them defend their families from being raped is bad for worker solidarity”, it makes Hexbear look like a bunch of rape apologizists.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
They evaluate policy decisions against “does this bring the working class closer to solidarity or not”.
When it comes to Russia bombing their cities and raping their women and children, is that positively or negatively influencing working class solidarity?
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
On hexbear, geopolitics exists as whatever hexbears feel like owns the shitlibs the most at that particular moment.
Sometimes, Russia is just months away from a well planned and strategized victory, against an evil Nazi Ukraine.
Other times, everything is a mastermind NATO move that’s all benefiting NATO, and Ukraine is just the meatgrinder victim.
What feels most alt-right about hexbear isn’t any particular position, but the fact that there’s no particular position. No logical cohesiveness, no rooted in solid reality. It’s superfluid ever changing dream reality.
- Comment on Who knew 1989 was an uneventful year in China 1 year ago:
This is the take that bothers me the most, as if the most aggressive and outspoken faction of any group exist only to drag the more respectable members down by association.
Eh, only a small minority of hexbears are fascists, but almost all hexbears tolerate fascists. All the fascists have to do is walk in and say “NATO is bad, Ukraine is bad, libs are bad, vote for Trump because he is a big lovable goofball” and the other hexbears are like aight let’s own the shitlibs.

Broadly speaking, left wing is about creating change, ideally for more equality or the betterment of all. Right wing is about conserving the status quo and traditional power hierarchies, because they are accustomed to benefiting from them.

Chalk another one up for right wing hypocrisy, I suppose…
The only right wing value is the acquisition of power and influence, that’s why they don’t hold to any position, they will just stand wherever benefits them the most in that moment.
