  It’s not a crime or anything. I would definitely assume they have some sort of developmental issue though.

  Did people really dislike 3 that much? I’d heard it was pretty tough at launch, but I only jumped in around Reaper of Souls and had a blast with it. I’ll admit the writing was a little busted but I thought the gameplay loop was excellent.

  I played through the campaign for 4, and while it had its moments, I couldn’t stick with it for longer than that. I think their biggest mistake was making it an online open world.

  It sold out on the Nintendo store within a day. So stupid… I would have considered this, but the retail price was already pushing what I’d be willing to spend.

  You’d think Nintendo would have a system in place to limit scalping, but I guess a sale is a sale to them.

  They mention that you can run around some of the areas that were previously just backgrounds in the original, so I suspect there will be some new content there at least. And a some cool new UI elements and ocarina accessibility stuff has been added if you’re into that. Time will tell how similar it will be to the original, but either way, I’m feeling pretty excited for it!

  My comment mostly has to do with the ‘mature’ part, implying that the mature thing to do is to text someone back immediately. And conversely, not texting back immediately is immature.

  See, I’m torn. On one hand, I feel like this ‘us vs them’ mentality contributes to the sort of tribalism that ultimately results in movements like MAGA popping up. If these people can only operate in MAGA-friendly spaces, they’ll rarely speak to anyone who disagrees with them, and will have no reason to reflect on their worldview.

  Then I read the news. If current events aren’t enough to convince them that they’re misguided, I’m not sure that anything will.

  I’m not sure I know what the answer is, but it’s been an interesting discussion.

  That’s fair, I can definitely understand that position and agree with you on the NK apologists.

  From my point of view, I think it’s more productive to interact with people I disagree with, in the (possibly naive) pursuit of changing their minds. If people are kicked out for their views, I’d imagine many of them will just double down and act like a martyr. I’m not saying we shouldn’t call these people out and downvote them, that’s why that function exists right? But maybe once in a while, something that we argue will resonate with them.

  Of course there are limits to that approach, and this all hinges on the other person arguing in good faith. Based on the OP’s post history, I’ll admit that I may be barking up the wrong tree in this case.
