WTF, I remember getting Final Fantasy XV day one, getting pissed at the FOMO carnivals, and thinking surely they would rotate back in or all be included at some point. Still absolute bullshit.

IMO, Morrowind is one of the greatest games ever made. I play it regularly and it holds up. The problem is that it’s not intuitive if you don’t know how it works.

The combat is great. It just doesn’t sit right with people that it’s not as action RPG as it looks (swing and miss) and it never tells you how important stamina (fatigue) is.
- Comment on Xbox Hardware Sales Plunge 32% YoY as Services Keep Gaming Division Afloat 1 week ago:
I already have a PS5 which I’ll get it on. I got the Xbox on a discount to play Halo Infinite with good specs (ended up hating it) and Fable. I kinda hoped for some other benefits. But end of the day, I didn’t actually need it for anything.
- Comment on Xbox Hardware Sales Plunge 32% YoY as Services Keep Gaming Division Afloat 1 week ago:
That’s what I meant by multiplatform. I don’t fully regret my Xbox because I got it one of those steep discounts and I have Halo lan parties. So a second xbox is nice. But it’s essentially just a more powerful Xbox One now.
- Comment on Xbox Hardware Sales Plunge 32% YoY as Services Keep Gaming Division Afloat 1 week ago:
I bought mine assuming the new Fable would be a console exclusive.
I also use it for Halo and Morrowind. But damn, I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I had known it would be multi-platform.
- Comment on Fable - Gameplay Teaser 2 weeks ago:
I thought that the point was that the King was only interested in saving everyone, so he didn’t even consider that he could avoid being a tyrant. Like, if I remember right, you can overcharge for rent to get the money without going overboard. He just said fuck it and took everything.
- Comment on Fable - Gameplay Teaser 2 weeks ago:
Wasn’t that only if you didn’t balance it enough and let the greed/evil rating go all the way up?
- Comment on Fable - Gameplay Teaser 2 weeks ago:
What was wrong with it? You had the big epic boss battle, and then the other guy. I liked how they handled it.
- Comment on Fable - Gameplay Teaser 2 weeks ago:
I liked 3 a lot. But it’s way too easy. IIRC you also can’t die. You just revive with a scar. But I never “lost” until I got to that assassin for the DLC.
Also, yeah, the ending was price gouge all of your rental properties or let everyone die. Like, great, what a choice.
Gameplay was fun though. Missions were fun. Everything was good except those two things.

My thoughts exactly. I’m a console gamer. So a straightforward all-in-one box is great.
- Comment on Square Enix says it wants generative AI to be doing 70% of its QA and debugging by the end of 2027 2 months ago:
Maybe before. But it’s gotten pretty damn good at detecting anomalies and issues. And every time a human QA validates the info, it gets better.
I’d still leave it to a human to fix the code though. I suspect that letting AI write the code would make it unworkable for people in the future. But maybe it can write code in a straightforward way to be managed. I don’t know. It’s advancing pretty fast.
- Comment on Square Enix says it wants generative AI to be doing 70% of its QA and debugging by the end of 2027 2 months ago:
From a tech POV, that makes a lot of sense. Use AI to find the needle in the haystack. Then let a person validate. That’s probably one of the better uses for it. Although I don’t love AI for any of the broad reasons to not like AI.
- Comment on US government uses Halo images in a call to 'destroy' immigration, Microsoft declines to comment 3 months ago:
I don’t know what’s worse, that Microsoft may have given them the go-ahead or that they did it knowing Microsoft would be too scared to say something.
- Comment on Halo: Campaign Evolved | The Silent Cartographer Trailer 3 months ago:
That’s a normal complaint. I thought Reach was peak esthetic for Halo because it was big recognizable variations in armor.
After that they made intricate armor variants that largely go unnoticed because they just look like a mess.
- Comment on More Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Details Emerge, Including Who Is Making It 4 months ago:
The good: Gunplay was the best of new 343’s Halo games. They made the Prometheans fun to fight. Warzone was the only good thing to come out of 343’s multiplayers. The lootboxes which could be earned was better than infinite’s paid season passes and expensive armor cores. They also had probably the only good iconic anything from the 343 games in the Guardians. On top of that, they had the best villain of the 343 games (evil Cortana).
The bad: They brought back Cortana after a amazing send off. The Didact never appears again despite having a teaser at the end of 4. Half the story is you playing a random Spartan chasing John for being “suspicious”. The team dynamic isn’t great and is leaned into. Warden Eternal SUCKS. And then he sucks again. And again. NO SPLIT SCREEN, AT ALL! No real Firefight, but none of 343’s games have had real Firefight.
Anyways, infinite sucks and I wish it didn’t exist. I’d rather have had a Halo 6 close out the Promethean story and do more with the Guardians.

Thanks! I actually just bought one of the those that are delisting soon a couple nights ago. So that makes me feel better. I’ll have to go through this first list tonight.
- Comment on Rock Band 4 to be delisted on tenth anniversary following the expiration of its licenses 4 months ago:
It absolutely isn’t a legal defense. You’re right.
I’m saying it should be legal. Starting now, since digital is a standard. Nintendo needs to put it out or let people share it. They can have 10 years (or the highest of 5 years from now/10 years from when it was last available). Something like that.
The TV movie standard of everything being available should be the video game standard.
- Comment on Rock Band 4 to be delisted on tenth anniversary following the expiration of its licenses 4 months ago:
I think there’s a difference between unavailable and limited availability.
There are some old games that may never come back. In many cases, there’s no agreed owner. Imagine if something became public domain after a short period of no use (5 years, 10 years maybe).
- Comment on Rock Band 4 to be delisted on tenth anniversary following the expiration of its licenses 4 months ago:
There are a bunch of Marvel games that are exactly like this.
Somewhat related. I tried to watch Guava Island, which was apparently only made available for Amazon for a limited time, then it just disappeared.
I think it should be legal to download or stream any of that stuff that’s no longer available.

And the songs will start to become unavailable to purchase over the next 9 years. I guess it’s a good reminder for me to buy all the songs I want to get.
- Comment on Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed 4 months ago:
Oh, they got rid of the 12 month core plan and changed it to essential (isn’t essential the basic playstation plan?).
I guess I won’t buy more than 1 month at a time for multiplayer. That’s going to save me a lot of money, since I don’t play xbox online very often.

- Comment on Favorite Modded Console? 4 months ago:
Simply modding it to have expanded storage is fantastic. I have a PSTV hooked up to my hanging room TV (basically like a firestick/chromecast) since it doesn’t need to sit on anything.
It kinda serves the same purpose as that PS1 Classic, except better in almost every way.

The original game collection (1, 2, 3D, and… Fractured Furry Tales?) is coming out this year too.
Also, I guess their other two games, Paws on Fire and Woolies Strike Back are being kinda ignored here.

- Comment on HELLDIVERS 2 x HALO: ODST Legendary Warbond 5 months ago:
5 was fun. The gameplay was way better than 4. The biggest issues, imo, were making 2/3 of the game “follow MC due to being vaguely suspicious” and bringing back Cortana, even though it was a rampant version of the original.
The positives were Evil Cortana was the best best villain 343 has had, the Guardians were a great replacement for the Halo rings, and the gunplay was fun again. Also, Warzone was awesome.
