- Comment on Youtuber Geekerwan has find the motherboard of Switch 2 and after reverse-engineer it have simulate the performance on a similar PC 4 days ago:
The pc market has taken a very consumerist turn and it’s actually pretty disgusting. Sad times.

I wish companies stayed on that track.
Welcome to a world of 1000W PSUs :(
- Comment on Will all these multiplayer games being released without support for LAN or hosting our own servers will no longer be playable with others when the company shuts down the servers? 4 days ago:
Community servers were/are some of the best times I have in gaming.
- Comment on Youtuber Geekerwan has find the motherboard of Switch 2 and after reverse-engineer it have simulate the performance on a similar PC 4 days ago:
Ok yeah that’s fair. Most people.

Who doesn’t want to spend £50+ a month to doom scroll…
- Comment on Youtuber Geekerwan has find the motherboard of Switch 2 and after reverse-engineer it have simulate the performance on a similar PC 4 days ago:
People who buy a Switch 2 are not the same people who care about this stuff.
- Comment on Smaller gaming channels 4 days ago:
The one channel that I have never stopped watching is Vash12349 as it is always a good time.
As for finding them you just have to search for games that your interested in and start watching untill something clocks with you.
- Comment on Steam Deck / Gaming News #14 6 days ago:
Zarya looks like my kind of game so thanks.
Also that PS2 is stunning. I kinda miss all the colourful and/or transparent consoles stuff as it used to be a reasonable option but now it comes with a “special edition” price tag.
- Comment on What is your favorite indie game? 1 week ago:
Live for Speed
I’ve been playing it on and off for over 20 years now with some definite highs and lows but I have nothing but respect for the devs and community. It’s not on any store fronts and they just do their own thing.
- Comment on Players Have Too Many Options to Spend $80 on a Video Game 1 week ago:
!patientgamers@sh.itjust.works
There are so many options out there that asking for $80, or whatever the equivalent is, is just ridiculous. I really hope people stand up against this bulshit.
- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 1 week ago:
To be fair PC gaming is a whole different monster to deal with because of the extortionate prices of new hardware and extreme consumerism.
I just want to play games and not be a target for all these companies :/
- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 1 week ago:
There has always been an inherent value to consoles but if that goes away then I can genuinely see them dying off. Personally I thinks the current gen is a huge disappointment anyway and this news just makes it even more ridiculous.
- Comment on First impressions: Dune Awakening is an MMORPG pretending to be a survival game | Massively Overpowered 2 weeks ago:
Most games that claim to be survival genre are actually just boring crafting games.
- Comment on Fishing games? 2 weeks ago:
Fishing in Red Dead Redemption 2 is very relaxing.
- Comment on Steam Deck / Gaming News #11 2 weeks ago:
As always thanks for the post.
I buy and play games from all the storefronts so it’s nice that you post a variety of stuff and not just default to Steam like everyone else seems to. I also don’t follow the news closely anymore so the variety of topics you give is perfect.
Regarding the website idea; Lemmy needs high quality posts so please keep doing what your doing :)
- Comment on PSA: I want a law for PC games to be offered in physical versions again 3 weeks ago:
Something like legally required to offer a no-DRM version on all storefronts would be interesting. I don’t care about physical media much anymore but I do want to own what I buy.
- Comment on Found a good video sharing my opinion about Nintendo Switch 2 4 weeks ago:
Nintendo aren’t the monster they are being played as.
I do think the price is too high for the console, games etc but they have always been slow to the party in many ways. That also means they create amazing stuff that the others cannot and have forged their own path. Don’t hate on them for that aspect.
- Comment on Found a good video sharing my opinion about Nintendo Switch 2 4 weeks ago:
From what I watched it is heavily biased against Nintendo and from someone who clearly isn’t the target audience.
My interest in Nintendo has been slowly slipping away since the early 00s and I wouldn’t even call myself a fan anymore but videos like these are worthless.
- Comment on Found a good video sharing my opinion about Nintendo Switch 2 4 weeks ago:
I watched for a couple minutes then stopped. It’s clear they had no intention or interest in the Switch 2 before all the outrage so why bother to watch the next 18 and 30 seconds…
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 5 weeks ago:
No they’re aren’t competitors. I’d wager a significant portion (probably the majority even) of Switch users have never heard of the Steam Deck or even less so the other handhelds.
Steam Deck has it’s fans but like everything in life just because you love it doesn’t mean the majority of people have any clue about it.
- Comment on 6* months away now. If you're on 10, do you plan to upgrade? Make the jump to Linux? 5 weeks ago:
I have an older pc that I use as a a Plex server so as soon as I get some time I will fully switch to Ubuntu.
- Comment on I really need these games ported to Steam. What do y'all have on your lists? 5 weeks ago:
No not yet. It’s been on my wishlist since release :/
- Comment on I really need these games ported to Steam. What do y'all have on your lists? 5 weeks ago:
Most people don’t know any better and it’s sad.
- Comment on I really need these games ported to Steam. What do y'all have on your lists? 5 weeks ago:
Jet Set Radio Future.
PC or console just give me something!
- Comment on What open-world games on Steam have satisfying movement, like Arkham Knight or Spider-Man? 5 weeks ago:
Great choice with Steep. Very underrated still
- Comment on Blendo Games announce full Steam Deck support for stealthy shooter Skin Deep 1 month ago:
I could remember why Blendo Games was familiar to me until you mentioned AZS. Such a good game!
- Comment on GOG seems to be considering paid membership option 1 month ago:
I’d consider a small fee to support the preservation program if I then received said games for free. It doesn’t have to be a monthly thing but whenever they are added.
I can’t think of anything else that would be worthwhile.
- Comment on The struggle is real 1 month ago:
I have fond memories of TFC and TF2 too. Good community server and civilised people using their microphone are the dream.
- Comment on Upscaling is actually good (as an option) 1 month ago:
Upscaling is great for older games that don’t support modern resolutions. I’m not really a fan of using it in modern games because of the blurryness you mentioned.
Regarding frame gen… Optimise your damn games! Game optimisation is becoming a lost art and now people think they should spend thousands on new hardware too keep up :(
- Comment on The struggle is real 1 month ago:
Nothing better than finding a good community server but sadly not always possible nowadays.
