I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m here now…
- Comment on What are some cool/decent PC games that are not on Steam? 3 days ago:
Racing simulator that launched in the early 2000s and is still going. There have been some rough times but overall the feeling of admiration is hard to deny for the 3 (mostly 2 now) devs. A couple years ago they updated it to create and allow mods and this year they released a public test for new graphical updates. I don’t even play often anymore but I still check for updates almost daily :)
- Comment on Teamwork games? Like Rematch or Foxhole 5 days ago:
You mentioned Squad and I think it definitely applies here. I don’t like competitive multiplayer games anymore but Squad just hits the sweet spot and especially when you find a good server with a nice mix or regulars and randoms. It’s also not quite milsm, which is a good thing.

Homeworld 3
HW3 is by far the worst in the series. On paper you would think Deserts of Khatak would be the worst but that one is fun and actually feels like a HW game but HW3 is just abysmal.
- Comment on 'Locking a gameplay trailer behind a Netflix subscription is a new level of greed' — GTA 6 callout Rockstar for 'paywalling' the game's extended look 1 week ago:
If it wasn’t GTA I doubt anyone would notice and/or care. It’s the equivalent of an exclusive interview or something.
- Comment on Photon frontend for lemmy.world is slow and often gives 500 internal error 3 months ago:
Amazing. I’ve started to move away from lemmy.world now because of the loading errors so this is perfect.

- Comment on GOG caught using AI tools, head of product tweeting AI Instagram scams 6 months ago:
It’s sad to see so I’m going to keep a close eye on what GOG do from here.
- Comment on Is the Xbox One X a good console/4k player in 2026? 6 months ago:
If you can get a One X for $120 I’d consider that a great deal. I don’t think Xbox’s are particulary great for 4k blurays but if you are playing games too then its good enough.
- Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 6 months ago:
I
likeliked the look of Subnautica but because of my thalassophobia I can’t play it. Now I wouldn’t play it anyway after the bullshit that was reported last year. - Comment on Why do you need a launcher? (asking older gamers actually) 6 months ago:
I’m not a fan of Steam or any launcher really but they have some useful features like friends lists and multiplayer updates. I don’t miss the times of downloading individual patches and having to insert a disc but nowadays has its own problems like “online” requirements for singleplayer and being forced to update. Thankfully GOG exists and some devs still offer DRM free versions and that’s my priority now.
- Comment on New Fable game removes feature core to franchise's DNA 6 months ago:
I’m not convinced by the trailer/gameplay we’ve seen so far as it just
feelslooks so bland to me. Hopefully I’m wrong. - Comment on PC game recommendation for my partner and I 6 months ago:
Kingdom: Two Crowns is great fun in co-op.
- Comment on What challenge from a game isn't worth completing and what challenge from a game is worth completing? 6 months ago:
Yeah I agree with this. Most achievements just don’t have the fun or inquisitive nature they should and are pretty much meaningless.
- Comment on What challenge from a game isn't worth completing and what challenge from a game is worth completing? 6 months ago:
Completing the Pokedex is pretty cool.
I’ve come close to getting all the capsule toys in Shenmue but in the end it was a lot if reloading saves and eventually I gave up. I barley finish any games so doing extra challenges is even rarer for me :/
- Comment on As The Division 3 development continues, Ubisoft announces layoffs at Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Stockholm as part of 'a proposed organizational restructure' 7 months ago:
I know exactly the trailer you’re talking about. Obviously the game didn’t turn out that way but in my opinion The Division is an under-appreciated gem. It was absolutely awful at launch though and I think it took over a year to fix and adjust the gameplay.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 7 months ago:
Games that jump straight into things without letting me see the options menu first.
Not having the Playstation icons as a preset when I want to use my PS4 controller on PC.
- Comment on Arc raiders is a horrible game 7 months ago:
Calling it a horrible game is a bit much.
I don’t think it’s as amazing as people make it out to be but, like you mention, turning off crossplay significantly improves matchmaking and supposedly giving feedback helps balance it even more. Its also a lot more fun with friends but the amount of PVP increases with groups and especially much more with 3 man.
- Comment on How TF2 Still Makes Millions (With No Updates) 7 months ago:
I haven’t played TF2 in a long time. I’ve been following a mod called TF2 Classified which sounds interesting though so might jump on that when it’s released
- Comment on How Are You Guys Handling This? 7 months ago:
Have a look at the Heroic Launcher. I remember reading it included a feature to play some Windows games in compatibility mode or something?
Apart from that I guess it’s Geforce Now, Amazon Luna etc…
- Comment on Starcom: Unknown Space 7 months ago:
Looks good so thanks for the recommendation.
- Comment on Request to mod c/roosterteeth 7 months ago:
Why not?
- Comment on Do you preorder games? 7 months ago:
I don’t pre-order but I do buy early access games. Unless it’s something genuinely limited edition and unique there is not reason to risk buying before release.

- Comment on Video Game Physical Software and Hardware Sales Just Had the Worst November in the U.S. Since 1995 - IGN 8 months ago:
I have mixed opinions on physical media but. I’m starting to agree with you on this point. In the past I’m all for having the option to buy it on disc/cartridge but when you have to install the game anyway and download a day one patch it kinda defeats the purpose of it. Also offline mode on consoles if just a joke at this point.
- Comment on Hands-On With the Miyoo Mini Flip; The Modern Successor to the GBA SP (my review) 8 months ago:
If I didn’t already have a Miyoo Flip v2 I would buy this version in a heartbeat. The love the clamshell design and portability of these things is a huge upside and I take it everywhere with me. I have been using MinUI on mine and it works great (especially quick save state and resume on open) but after reading your article I decided to change it up and move over to Knulli which has a lot more options.

It’s hard not to when player 4 player GoldenEye :D

Yeah I do all that myself with ETS2 but wanted to give another example.

It didn’t really take off to begin with but dual screen support like Supreme Commander had with the real-time map overview on the 2nd monitor. It could be a skirmish map or live track map for a racing game, live scoreboard, player status or inventory system.
