- Comment on NBC archive footage shows Trump partying with Jeffrey Epstein in 1992 2 months ago:
People on the right claim Trump stopped talking to him and threw him out after he found out what was going on. Bullshit. Epstein snagged a piece of property out from under Trump and Trump got angry about it.
Even if the claim that Trump threw him out when he found out what was going on, that means he didn’t alert the authorities to child sex trafficking. That alone should make you not want to vote for him since he would have had the power to stop it. Instead he had the AG who gave Epstein a slap on the wrist added into his cabinet.

- Comment on Jon Stewart Examines Biden’s Future | The Daily Show 4 months ago:
Reagan was considered old when he was elected at the age of 69 and 73. One of the big marks against Bob Dole in 1996 was that he was 73. Biden will be 82 and Trump is 78.
- Comment on Long Dark dev criticises Manor Lords for lack of updates, Hooded Horse CEO replies that not every game needs to be "some live-service boom or bust" 4 months ago:
I bought the alpha version back in 2015. I was happy with my $15 purchase then and they have continually updated the game. Sure, it has taken a while to “complete” the game but I never really even expected a story mode.
I do kind of agree with the sentiment that games so not necessarily need to be constantly worked on. Another game I think of is No Man’s Sky. Yes, it was a shallow and incomplete game on release. But they kept working on it until it was far beyond what would be considered complete. And they are still doing pretty major updates. While I do appreciate it because they have added some great content, I also think they could call it good and possibly put their developers onto a new game. There is also the risk that a major update screws up the game that people thought they bought.

Do not use Amazon unless you know exactly what you want. The reviews are almost all fake. What’s annoying is that if you search for review sites on a type of product you do not know much about, they funnel you back to Amazon’s “highly rated” ones and get a kickback of you but the no name garbage. Also annoying is that those words salad companies are all the same manufacturer for the most part. They set up a ton of different names to flood the search results and then throw up a bunch of fake reviews. Some of that shit can be dangerous. Louis Rossman just did a video testung out some highly rated fuses and one of them by Nilight did not blow until 5x its amperage rating. That can easily lead to a fire. He also did one on crimping cables a bit ago that absolutely failed to crimp. Amazon removed his negative review.

- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
Sales tax is fairly rare outside of the US. Most countries have a value added tax instead. The end result is largely the same but a VAT has fewer incentives to skirt it.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
Believe it or not, some states do not allow that to be included on the sticker price since the sticker is there to note the price of the item. The sales tax is a tax on the transaction. You could probably note both but that might confuse dumb people.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
That would be the ‘take a hit to profits.’ Yeah, I don’t expect that either. What’s annoying is that it is always the very profitable douche bag restaurants that do this. Most restaurants struggle to make ends meat.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
Yes, prices on each item should increase. This is just a sneaky way of avoiding doing that. A bunch of dick head restaurant owners tried doing shit like this when my city passed a law making $15/hr the minimum wage with no exemptions for tipped workers. Restaurant owners like Tom Douglas had to raise prices but didn’t want to so they tacked on an extra fee and claimed it was a living wage fee but you were still expected to tip just as much. If I was certain that money was actually going to workers, I might be okay with it but there is nothing forcing them to give it to workers. Also, it is straight up admitting that you were paying starvation wages before.
People expected tons of restaurants to close after the minimum wage went up. None really closed and prices are fairly similar to most large cities. Some place did love to a no tip model with higher prices but generally it has been the same where you to 18-20% on the cost of the bill.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
Places that do this will have fine print at the bottom of their menu mentioning the charge so they can avoid legal issues.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
A sales tax is expected in most states and is generally fairly similar within each state and almost never come to more than 10%. That also pays for services that most people use.
This extra charge at this restaurant is not common nor is it expected. They also set it at 18% which is a standard tip rate but specifically say it is not a tip. They claim it is to provide decent wages but considering they still allow tips (some places do this but do not allow tipping on top) , that pretty obviously is not true. This is just a bullshit tactic to have prices seem lower than the menu price.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 11 months ago:
I don’t return to restaurants that pull this bullshit. Raise your prices to provide a living wage or take a hit to your profits.

They don’t really make much from the YouTube ads though. You might make $2000 if your video hits a million views and chances are that money is going to be split between a crew of people. There is a reason you see all of them having their own does or their own merch or a long list of Patreon subscribers. If you actually want to pay the content creators, buy their stuff or subscribe to them via Patreon.
