- Comment on The Fallout show's been a pleasant surprise 8 months ago:
Good: Nice special effects, nice wardrobes, nice sets, the ludicrous violence fits right in with the universe, and particularly the performances from the actors are very good. At least visually, it looks way better and the effects look way more convincing than 3 Body Problem, to use another recent show as a comparison.
Bad: apparently the show disregards New Vegas lore (personally idk I never played it), I think the editing is super bad, the story is average.

I don't see an issue. The original still exists. If you like that better, then you don't have to watch the new remasters.
This is a far less invasive deal than when Lucas created the Special Editions of the original trilogy with all the bad CG everywhere.

That scene reminded me a little of the scene in the DND movie where they reanimate a corpse and are allowed to ask it only X number of questions. The concept was played off in a comedic manner in that movie, though it was kinda dark in The Creator.

It was not on the table.
Some rando posted on her Shitter account "vote for Labour, get two years" and Rowling responded with the quote in the headline.
If you read the article, they clarify that the Labour party wants to crack down on LGBTQ hate crimes, and nowhere is it said that they would make it illegal to use improper pronouns for others.
- Comment on The Year’s Wildest TV Tech Thriller Is a Cartoon 1 year ago:
Just started watching tonight. I am only 2 episodes in to the first season.
Right away, noticed all of the audio quality was horrible. I checked on Google and confirmed: the voice sessions were done by the actors from home during lockdown using whatever tech they had on hand, even if it was only their phones. Not a deal breaker, though, just a curiosity. The acting performance, aside from their production flaws, are decent.
The show has been good, great actually up to this point. I have been watching a lot of forgettable TV lately and Pantheon has been a refreshing entry.

I have been playing Phantom Liberty a lot. I've enjoyed it more than Starfield and BG3.
Before PL came out, I had started playing Sea of Stars. But it was extremely difficult to get into. Besides the S+++ tier pixel art, I thought the writing was poor: boring characters, bad dialogue, bad worldbuilding all made worse by slow pacing. I am gonna revisit this game sometime in the future I guess, though I don't understand its appeal yet.
Also I played Armored Core 6 for a few minutes and died to the tutorial mission helicopter like 10 times in a row. I guess some people find that fun, lol.

I didn't insult anyone. I shared a neutral opinion here but all you people just keep going for that cheap dopamine hit of "let's just downvote this guy together so we can feel good about ourselves" instead of actually talking.
Internet points are worthless anyway. I find a bit of mild humor in the fact that everybody downvoting my comments here actually seems illiterate since everything needed to understand what I am trying to say is in that top level comment.
Though really, I know none of you people are engaging me in good faith at all. Why don't you guys go back to Reddit and Twitter?
- Comment on Dead Leaves (2004) animated film is gnarly & fun! 1 year ago:
If you liked the art style and direction of this movie, then what you liked was the signature style of Hiroyuki Imaishi, the main man at Studio TRIGGER. The plots weren't similar but the energy and art in DL is very similar to his other works Fool Cooly (FLCL), Diebuster, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Kill la Kill.

Often when we talk about "hype" surrounding a release, it’s in anticipation of shared cultural euphoria more than that of a great gaming experience.
Maybe I'm hijacking the discussion, but also I don't care. That quote is the first line of the article. That's pretty much exactly what I was trying to talk about the last time I commented about BG3 and called all the excitement surrounding it just "hype" and people were crawling out of the bushes to downvote and dunk on me for criticizing their new favorite game. Every time I looked at my message inbox I was making that "wtf" face the guy made when fucking O'Reilly said "tide goes in, tides goes out, you can't explain that."

Mario also benefited from being the only theatrical release from that franchise in 30 years. It was a hugely popular franchise that had been untapped, as far as movies go.
