Yeah. He reached that higher than average net worth by wage theft.

I’m not punching down. I’m punching up. This dude didn’t give a rat’s ass about the people who made him wealthy while he was alive, so why is he owed consideration by those same people just because he’s dead?
Why does growing a company matter, if it’s done by stealing the wages of the people that are producing the growth?
- Comment on Ubisoft Co-Founder Claude Guillemot Dies In Plane Crash 15 hours ago:
A video game company with a valuation in the billions of dollars, yes. Of which this guy was a co-founder and board member, meaning he was doing quite well for himself.
Does it not count because “it’s just video games lmao”? Would it be better if it was a music label or film studio?
Maybe instead of touching grass, you should pay more attention to the class war his type are waging against ours.

He was a member of the ruling class. What the hell are you talking about? He was a board member and co-founder of a corporation with a valuation in the billions of dollars. Yeah, sure, he wasn’t a billionaire but they aren’t the only problem. He certainly had a lot less in common with poors like you and me, especially since the corporation he was part of wasn’t exactly championing labor rights.

Meaning what? Generalization is how things work when you’re talking about populations and not individuals.

It’s a matter of scale, and what they do with the money. Wealth hoarding has reached the point where it’s a cause of inflation. The top 1% (and even moreso, the 1% of that 1%) have hoarded ao much wealth, and do nothing but essentially sit on that wealth, that it makes life more expensive for all of us in the working class.
Strictly speaking, yes they absolutely are hurting someone. Wage theft is a significant issue we face today.

I’m more bitter than a stout, to be sure. That doesn’t mean I’m not calm, though.

I’m sure his family is just fine crying into their piles of money. They don’t need my sympathy or yours.

Miss me with that idiotic “we go high” mentality. That nonsense is what lead us to here.
- Comment on Some of Android's Most Interesting Games Aren't on the Play Store 1 day ago:
Yeah people really hate it when you show them the obvious flaws in their reasoning. We don’t teach people in how to accept correction and learn from it in schools and it really shows. People lash out instead of just taking a moment to check their ego and process.
I’ll try to keep #2 in mind.

It’s about as Silent Hill as RE4 was Resident Evil. It’s a decent game on its own merits (with crappy writing) but anyone expecting SH1-3 type gameplay would probably be disappointed.
Weak writing aside, I think it’s still ultimately a step in a better direction for the series. Silent Hill as a series always was a little weak in the “gameplay” aspect and I appreciated the increased intensity of the melee focused gameplay. Ditch or at least mitigate the durability thing (because seriously, knives and pipes don’t break that fast!) and work guns back in here or there and I think it’d be a solid foundation to work from.

Temu Final Fantasy made in RPG Maker was practically its own genre several years ago.
There’s a few still around today, like Crystal Project, although that one isn’t an RPG Maker special.
- Comment on I want a new retro Final Fantasy 1 day ago:
Sea of Stars has some of the most beautiful art and music I’ve seen in a game of its type… and quite possibly the worst writing, too. It’s hard to overstate how awful the writing is. And the gameplay can’t save it. It’s not bad, but it’s not a game you’d play “for the gameplay” either. It’s okay.
It’s frustrating because their previous project, The Messenger, actually has pretty solid writing. It’s less story focused but the handful of NPCs are fun and have some clever lines.
I can’t really recommend people spend their money on it. If you’re going in expecting, idk, Chrono Trigger or something you’re gonna be really mad.

Already exists. I think it’s called 7th Heaven? It’s like Memoria for FF9, texture upscaling, UI edits, and mod support. I suppose that’s not helpful if you’re talking about wanting it on a non-PC platform, though.

Taking a steaming dump on their graves is keeping our dignity.
This man didn’t give a tin shit about me, you, or anyone else while he lived. Why do we owe him decorum and consideration just because he got himself killed?
- Comment on Ubisoft Co-Founder Claude Guillemot Dies In Plane Crash 1 day ago:
I don’t play Ubisoft games. I don’t have a horse in that race.
He’s awful because he was one of the money-addicted ownership class that collectively are ruining our world to fuel their addictions. Everyone in that class is a piece of shit and I don’t find much value in trying to determine the particular vintage of shit we’re dealing with. There are no “good guys” here.
I won’t wish death or harm on any of them, but I’ll certainly not shed a tear if karma gets them.

Author’s note:
I’ve had plenty of people let me know that these games are in fact available on Google’s own Play Store. Oh the irony. Rather than edit the whole angle of this article, I’ll just say that this is quite funny. Since Google’s Play Store is such a little part of my life (I never use it outside of emulation/retro handheld reviews), that totally passed me by.
All my apologies for not checking things better before posting this one! That is 100% on me. Instead try to read over it with an angle of “…you’re better to play these from F-droid than Play Store”…!
Oh, okay. So basically this was just something they shit out and published without due diligence.
Why share this, then?

Why try to qualify this? Your moral compass is calibrated to “not a war criminal”? Is that your line where “evil” and “they’re ok I guess” is?

Does anyone deserve to die, for any reason or by any method?
- Comment on Ubisoft Co-Founder Claude Guillemot Dies In Plane Crash 1 day ago:
It doesn’t warrant death, no. But people can cheer the death of an awful person without saying “hey we should keep the streak going!”
And what are you talking about? Our current case of fascism is a direct result of unregulated capitalism, courtesy of neoliberalism.

- Comment on Ubisoft Co-Founder Claude Guillemot Dies In Plane Crash 1 day ago:
I mean, yeah, Kirk was unquestionably the bigger turd but I’m happy both are gone. They’re all part of the same overarching issue with this world.

Because most of us got banned on Reddit for speaking out.
I guess I have to tolerate limpdicked equivocation and “let’s all be sad some rich asshole carked it” on reddit but why here? Those spineless losers can fuck off back to reddit.

Tell that to the families of the millions of poor affected by the wealth hoarders’ actions.
Do you exercise even a fucking moment of thought before you say something?

The wealth hoarders immediately after that part you quoted.

Good riddance.
