- Comment on 'Locking a gameplay trailer behind a Netflix subscription is a new level of greed' — GTA 6 callout Rockstar for 'paywalling' the game's extended look 6 days ago:
Oh no, I did some math and I realized I’ll forever be a big dummy for not participating in this once in a lifetime moment…
I’ll never know what it’s like to throw $20+ dollars at a shitty streaming platform that’s hyping a videogame trailer that was made by a union busting game studio. I’ll need to choose between giving up $80 worth of groceries for the base game, or I’ll need to give up $100 worth of food for the full game since they paywalled additional content.
All in all, that’s over a hundred dollars in the hole.
Fuck.
That.

And? What fucks are there left to give about a publically malicious/murderous government buying a publically malicious company which publically destroys their creatives ability to stay alive in this capitalist shitscape?
I want the heart and soul of those studios (the creatives) to create a tsunami of indie studios to revive the long lost connection between the gamers and the makers.
We have to support indie devs if we want gaming to be better for all involved.

I know friend, I know. For what it’s worth, taking breaks from the doom and gloom of current events does wonders for emotional health. We all deserve some peace, and it’s up to us to enforce it.

- Comment on The American E.V. Has Been Crushed. Will It Take the U.S. Auto Industry With It? 4 weeks ago:
I fucking hope so. I’ve been driving since the mid 90s and every time I’ve owned an American car, it’s been a shitshow. I’ve owned cars built in the 80s (Dodge, Chevy), 90s (Pontiac), 2000s (Chevy again), and the 2010s (Ford, Chrysler).
Each car has a number of similar issues: cheap parts, convoluted electrical/computer issues, leaks, lacklustre safety ratings, uninspired interiors, and blind spots for days.
I only buy used that are 10-20 years old, fix them up and keep them on the road for life. VW and Subaru are my go-to at this point.
