If he ever made a local appearance, as a fellow Dane I would ask why he was ruining the scenery by showing his face in such a beautiful part of the country. He’s not only a great example of why P2P is more than just people wanting free shit, he also made a pretty good case that money can’t buy happiness or talent

Lars Ulrich, the only Dane I never liked. Most Danes are agreeable but Lars had someone piss in his baby bottle and he never got over it.
- Comment on Why do people say "my taxes" 2 weeks ago:
Grammatically you are spot on, numerically you are missing a bit of nuance. In a society where everyone paid the same equal and fair amount, the ills we see simply would not exist.

Mark my words. This is going to be put in an Adam Curtis documentary at some point!

How interesting this hasn’t gotten any traction! Guess that’s more proof she was correct.
- Comment on Can a puzzle with missing pieces be considered complete? 3 weeks ago:
When people come to me with missing pieces, I still consider them complete humans. Most people are puzzles, and so this question seems like it answered itself.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 3 weeks ago:
If you’re saying you’re flexible enough to squeeze into your seat while that 15° is fully used, happy for you. Not everyone is an acrobat nor interested in accommodating slouchers.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 3 weeks ago:
It’s always funny to me when people complain about others restricting their slouching on a flight. The way j get around this is to get up every 30-45 minutes and stretch, take a little jaunt around the aisles and if I’m not grossed out by the first peep at the lavatory, take care of business, since I’m sipping on water the entire flight to combat jet lag. I must be in a hidden third category that doesn’t care too much about reclining my seat. If others recline, that’s okay because they’ll quickly learn that every half hour or so, they’re gonna have to push that seat upwards so I can get in and out. And if they don’t, they can explain why to the attendant I’ll be grabbing shortly.

I rather enjoyed this lashing, and I appreciate the sane take amidst a sea of nonsensical panic and rumors.
- Comment on How do I drink more water? 1 month ago:
As someone who lives at the other end of Asia, I can attest to tap water being undrinkable and bottled water the norm. I would also add all these comments saying “get a filter” are just setting themsleves up for problems down the road. UV flashed, RO, carbon filtered water is clean AF but has been stripped of essential trace minerals and micronutrients. In order to have efficient hydration, we need to reacquire those somewhere… so unless commenters are planning on gorging down salty snacks and chugging sports drinks behind their water, I would refer people to ConcenTrace products in order to do that. I’m not shilling for the company but I am a happy customer. There are probably other ways to go about this, but I’m not aware of them; a simple scoop or drip into my water mug is easier than sourcing various and combining them on my own.
- Comment on When in time did America gave up trying to be great? Gave up as the example for the world? And now we are on our backs and refuse to get up like Bender off Futurama or a turtle? 1 month ago:
Agreed on all points. I would argue it became overt 8 years prior; Obama was not the saint some like to think he was.
- Comment on How come some Corporation or some Business don't sponsor a protest? Like McDonald's sponsoring that No Kings protest. Or a hotel giving free room and board to protestors and so on? 2 months ago:
That’s funny. They call it a protest but it looks like a mass therapy rally from here. Also, AFAIK Denmark and Thailand are both kingdoms and do just fine.
- Comment on Is there any way I can study Marxist theory in a way that wouldn't seem too boring or dry? 2 months ago:
Idk. I’ve always experienced that people who claim to be anarchists are just libertarians in hiding.

South Africa ranks pretty high on that list but it’s already gone through the discernment phase where the collevtive majority went “huh. This isn’t quite working out the way we’d planned. Let’s try something else”. And now the people who don’t like the results of “doing something else” are now fleeing to america, because the discernment phase hasn’t happened there yet.

I’m going with a third option: who the fuck cares?
America appears to be the batshit landscape the rest of the world knew it was but we were always getting drowned out from the noise of your soft power via hollywood and manipulative political/economic orgs. If you’re having issues, has it been considered that you might wanna contain that shit instead of plaster it all over the world news? It’s exhausting to continually see headlines about what nutty thing that wouldn’t occur anywhere else happened today in Jesus land. And then have to suffer through the trivial machinations of moaning and hand wringing so that citizens can relieve themselves of responsibility and go back to their Netflix and video games.
America is cooked all the way through because it fosters a culture that takes away the compact mirror and hands a megaphone to kids when they’re born. That’s not gonna be cured in one or three or five years via election cycles. You have a terminal infection of culture and the sooner you come to grips with that, the better for everyone.
