People do eat bear meat. I'm sure some just skin it and leave it but it is plenty edible.

SCOBYs (Symbiotic Cultures of Bacteria and Yeast) could have some possible applications as fake leather but I don't know if anyone is working on it or if it could actually be made strong enough.
One example where we just do not have an equivalent is motorcycle gear. Yeah we have textile jackets, and I have one because where I am the risk of heat stroke in a leather jacket is more of a concern, but if you want abrasion resistance, leather is the best you can get. Can SCOBYs compete with that? I don't know.
- Comment on What even is the point of delivery anymore 10 months ago:
10 minute drive (where I live) is typically 6-10 miles. Average walking speed is 3mph so you're talking over 2hrs. I had to do it once on a tractor and it sucked, and that was doing 10-14mph.

- Comment on How to remove smell from lunch box? 11 months ago:
I'd start with washing and letting it sit in the sun a couple of days. If that doesn't work I'd go nuclear with an ozone generator just be easy with it or it will turn the food smell into an off-gasing plastic smell.

I love operating heavy machinery as long as I don't have to get out/off the heavy machinery.
If I have to get off to fix it when it breaks then I'm unhappy.
Using an airconditioned tractor for literally anything, fun. Unjamming the fucking hay bailer when it's over 100F and 95% humidity and there's dust everywhere, not fun.

In the US there is the 'Ghost Flower' or 'Indian Pipe' which is parasitic to fungus which is parasitic to the host tree. It is totally white with no chlorophyll.
It's parasites all the way down.

Y'all got windows though right? You could throw some portables in.

I'd expect the crushed up bones of their enemies to be more of a Finnish thing. Which is also why I'm glad they're on our side.
- Comment on Take one! 1 year ago:
Correct. If you take a totally clean, disinfected nail, stick it in some lab grade brine until it gets rusty, and then stab yourself with it, there is a 0% chance of getting tetanus.
You could technically have tetanus on something without it being covered in dirt. My point is tetanus bacteria lives in the dirt. But the rust has nothing to do with it other than making the metal more likely to cut or pierce you.
People tend to think the rust is what causes it.
- Comment on Take one! 1 year ago:
Yeah but Tetanus is caused by a specific bacteria called Clostridium Tetani and I don't know how it would find its way to a random thumb tack.
- Comment on Take one! 1 year ago:
Fun fact: tetanus comes from dirt, not rust
- Comment on Capcom is worried that mods “offensive to public order and morals” will ‘tarnish’ the rep of their PC games 1 year ago:
You could even automate that entire process.
Require customers to email support, require a log file, have your log files show if mods are installed, auto reply that the customer should reinstall the game without mods and see if the issue persists.
- Comment on What makes a bicycle so expensive? 1 year ago:
So, as an example. The Honda CBR650R is $9,899.
You can absolutely abuse that for thousands of miles.
- Comment on Now this is how you conduct a poll. 1 year ago:
I think I could actually lay low pretty easy. Everything I'd buy people know I've been saving up for for a while. And they all take time to get even if you have the money so it wouldn't be all at once.
Plus my "dream [property/vehicle/hobby items/etc]" are all fairly atainable. Like theres a certain classic vehicle I want that usually goes for 20-30k just the configuration I want is a little difficult to find.
- Comment on Is there any way I can stop seeing sports posts? 1 year ago:
My thing is when browsing all I want to see all, not just the most popular communities. The Hot/rising functions don't seem to work that well at least on kbin.
So I blocked a lot of the communities that show up too much or the ones that will never have anything of interest to me. It's better.

Of course I know the taste buds in my colon (TBIMC) can never be cured, but my doctor told me that with proper diet and excercise and Poisantin, my TBIMC could be monitored, putting me in control of the size and sensitivity of the taste buds in my colon.
- Comment on In the U.S., what exactly are we supposed to do when an ambulance, with its sirens on, approaches from behind? 1 year ago:
Yeah but that is HIGHLY unusual, so while you do still habe to yield to the firetruck once its intentions are made clear, they still must make sure that everyone is aware of what they're doing and out of the way. If it just whips it over a median and hits someone it's their fault.

Ok first, cars aren't mentioned in the constitution but outside of that...
I can buy a car and use in off road or on private property and need none of that. I can even take it wherever else I want with it on a trailer.
So with what you're saying I can make or buy a machine gun and supressor and as long as I don't use it in public it's totally legal.

- Comment on bullshit! working from home increases productivity and life quality 1 year ago:
Same. Of course it depends on the job, doing 4 in office and .5-1 at home could work but I already have a hard enough time trying to forget about work and not let it stress me out at home when they're separate.
Plus I go a bit stir crazy being at home all the time.
But if someone wants it and it's possible then why not?

I can get 8-10 with my car and trailer if I'm really trying. Minumum of 2 if I can pull through and don't feel like I'll be blocked from turning out, 3 if I can only use one side and really try to minimize it.
