Also, "usually trouble".
Have very rarely seen anyone have trouble crossing. Unless it's Tesla, BMW or Audi SUV, then just let then go pass, because they can't drive anyways.
- Comment on Homer 7 months ago:
It has nothing to do with suburbia.
It has everything to do with the politics of Thatcher and Reagan. Their policies of annihilating unions, human rights and tax cuts for the rich created this dystopian reality we now have.
If we cut out the rich and restore what we used to have for rights and protections, we can try to save ourselves from extinction.

They were lamenting that all of the team at Hasbro-Wotc that they worked with on BG3 was laid off.
Not that Hasbro caused layoffs at Larian.

Other way around.
He signed on to make the Witcher series, true to the books. They moved it away from that, and audiences turned away from it.
Cavill was right.

- Comment on Why are so many countries in the world “developing” and poor, while essentially only Western countries have a high standard of living? 10 months ago:
Because you need a middle class to have a high standard of living.
And you can't have a middle class when your culture has internalized class oppression that tells you to never question your superiors.

- Comment on Square Enix’s president says it will be ‘aggressive in applying’ AI 10 months ago:
There are already mods that add voices to mod-scripted lines for Skyrim and Fallout 4. As well as a joke mod where the author took all of the recorded voice lines for Deep Rock Galactic(DRG), ran them through AI translators 40 times, then had an AI record the end result using the intonation and inflection of the characters in DRG.
However, the quotes from MS in the article provide an insight into their plans.
- Replace all localization teams.
- Replace all QA teams with AI that just run the level infinitely.
Interestingly, both of those show a fundamental lack of understanding of what a LLM can do. Yes it can do basic translation, but it fails on context in translations. E.g:
The French translation "you are a fool" can be "tu es un imbecile" but can also be "vous etes un imbecile" depending on the relationship context of the people talking. And asking AI to replace QA entirely.. oof, I guess I know to avoid MS games at launch from now on. Will be a lot of bugs.
- Comment on What's up with Epic Games? 10 months ago:
Don't forget how he abandoned PC gaming when Unreal Tournament 3 bombed after they released shitty mid tools and the modding community they built up over UT 2k3 and 2k4 dissolved.
- Comment on Starfield End of the Year Update 11 months ago:
The problem is that the spice and flavour of Skyrim was not using the fast travel and just exploring.
With modding to add random encounters and roaming friendlies/neutral mobs, Fallout 4 was great too. Even more so recently with the flyable vertibirds so that you could get the in-game fast travel that used resources.
But neither of those can exist in a game where fast travel is a clue and unavoidable gameplay mechanic.

- Comment on Bethesda confirms they are working on releasing new features you asked for, from city maps, to mod support, to all new ways of traveling next year for Starfield 11 months ago:
The trick is that they want paid mods so they can do nothing and get a decade of profit. Consider that many of the mods on Nexus have millions of unique downloads.
Even if they charge 3 bucks a mod and get a third of it, that's tens of millions of dollars with zero effort on their part.
But the primary issue is that the current modding framework they're pushing onto Skyrim doesn't support framework mods, so none of the big mods Skyrim is known for, and have kept it alive so long, could happen.

The debt is a tax writeoff. The entire company is a tax writeoff for him and his clique.
This will allow them to gain billions more without spending a cent in taxes.
- Comment on UAW will not expand strikes at Detroit automakers after last-minute GM proposal 1 year ago:
Elsewhere they have pointed out that the rotating strikes allow the still working members to inform on attempts to move production around the strikes, and move the strikes in kind.
That has resulted in Ford giving some big concessions.
- Comment on UAW will not expand strikes at Detroit automakers after last-minute GM proposal 1 year ago:
They're trying a new strike strategy that plays the companies against one another. By rewarding companies when they play ball they can allow them to get a potential leg up on their compeition who maybe decided against a particular thing.
It allows the union to better pressure the companies and allows the union strike funds to go further. It's a novel approach, and is working so far. Hopefully it will bear fruit.
- Comment on Epic Games to update Unreal Engine pricing for devs not making games 1 year ago:
Because China is increasingly looking broke, so daddy Tencent's purse is tightening. On top of that, the world's banks now have interest rates to look after again, so their free money streams have ended too.
But the rich want to keep their free money train going, so we're all paying now.

It was dropped between CoD(which at the time was riding high) and the legendary BF1, which was the WW1 one that was universally acclaimed and revitalized the series.
It never had a chance to do well.

Without EA intentionally fucking over Respawn as the producer for Titanfall 2 by making it have the worst possible release date, and driving them to bankruptcy, this would have been a major IP.
