die vs dice was dead IRL among non-TTRPG crowds long before the Internet was adopted by the masses.

I have more than once witnessed 18-20 year old service members drinking openly and legally in bars and restaurants by using their military ID.

Dorsey is all those things you just observed about current leadership, and also wanted less moderation capabilities than they do. He wanted Bluesky to be even less moderated than Twitter.
And in spite of the attitudes of the current Blue sky leadership, their moderation tools are pretty decent. Blocking a user there works better than it does in ActivityPub platforms. The blocked user can’t see your profile or posts, at all. Over here a blocked user can still be out replying to everything you post, for all your followers to see. And you can mute/hide replies to your posts on Bluesky, so the rest of the people in the conversation doesn’t see it unless they actively click to show it.

Dorsey actually left BlueSky when he was unable to convince the board to not adopt moderation tools on the platform.

There are for sure racist fascists and bootlickers here, but don’t paint us all with that brush.

Mac is mistaken. There are Spanish speaking employees all over the food service industry in Texas.
- Comment on Cool Japan 🌸 1 month ago:
Have you‽ I was born in Texas. Lived here the last 24 years, and 32 of the last 34. Even asian restaurants here have kitchens full of Spanish speaking people.
- Comment on Cool Japan 🌸 1 month ago:
The odds of a Texas BBQ joint not having any Spanish speaking employees is exceedingly small.

This is the incident that modern_medicine is referring to.

- Comment on I found the Picasso gender bathroom 3 months ago:
Picasso pioneer cubism, where people have bizarre asymmetrical proportions. the mirror and sink aren’t centered with each other. So to be centeted in the mirror while washing your hands in front of the sink, you would need to be oddly shaped, like a Picasso portrait
- Comment on I found the Picasso gender bathroom 3 months ago:
It may not have planned that way, but they could have re-centered the mirror after bringing the counter in.
- Comment on I found the Picasso gender bathroom 3 months ago:
It’s a cubist bathroom for asymmetrical people.
