I was picturing, like, a French croissant, a big pastry thing, with a Cumberland sausage inside 😂 I’ve never heard of Pillsbury, looks good tho!
Yeah you’re right, those seeds look like sesame
- Comment on Unquestionably high class 1 day ago:
Oh wow, that’s totally not what I was picturing actually! What are the seeds? Is the croissant sweet?
- Comment on Unquestionably high class 1 day ago:
A hot dog in a croissant? That’s wild, I didn’t realise pigs in blankets were different around the world (presumably you’re not in the UK?). In England, pigs in blankets are little sausages wrapped in bacon!
- Comment on Is there a "buy nothing" community on Lemmy? Or an anti-consumerism comm? 1 week ago:
No, but that sounds really interesting. I’ve long been frustrated by rampant consumerism, and not just that but also by how blatantly companies will shaft consumers on quality, size, functionality… A laundry list of ways to make their products worse because it nets them a tiny saving per product which all adds up to a new megayacht. Nickle and diming bastards!

I honestly thought this was a joke about this character specifically. It didn’t come off as “dumb woman annoying” to me, it came off as an in-joke about how this character.

It might be, but the user is an AI user so they might actually just be a freak.

Interesting. Thanks for explaining a bit more!

It sounds like some of those ciphers have big overlap, like the reduction ciphers. Do you factor that in when you’re using them? I think another commenter mentioned that using multiple reduction and exception ciphers that exclude letters not used in the phrase you’re analysing will obviously give you the same results, which seems like a good point to me
- Comment on Vince Zampella, video game developer behind 'Call of Duty' franchise, killed in mountain road crash 2 weeks ago:
Thanks for those cyphers! Is it common to use a bunch of different ones in numerology? :o
But where’s “hex” coming from? I’m sure other words equal 44 too. Does “hex” equal 44 in the cyphers you use?
When you say that Call of Duty was chosen, what do you mean? He was a developer for that series, and it’s his most popular work so it’s where most people would know him from.
- Comment on How long until we can start shorting years to 2 numbers again? 2 weeks ago:
You can totally start now. Although, and maybe this is just a me thing, I’d feel like a massive bellend if I referred to something that happened in, for instance, 2021 as “in '21”.
I think I’d feel okay with “'01”, through to “'09”, then the teens feel weird again but only because it just feels weird to refer to a year as small as like… “'13”… although I don’t have that same problem with the naughties, maybe that’s because of the added “oh” making it seem like more than just a number? And then the twenties feel like big enough numbers to abbreviate but, yeah, again, I’d feel like a tool.
- Comment on Vince Zampella, video game developer behind 'Call of Duty' franchise, killed in mountain road crash 2 weeks ago:
Wait, what’s the “under a hex (44)” from? He was 55.
Also I get 79 for “murder”, where did you get 38? And for “Call of Duty”? I don’t know shit about Numerology honestly lol
- Comment on Indie Game Awards Disqualifies Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Due To Gen AI Usage 2 weeks ago:
To me, “the music a subcontractor listens to while they work” is different to “the thing they’re working on”.
- Comment on Indie Game Awards Disqualifies Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Due To Gen AI Usage 2 weeks ago:
The GenAI asset was in the final release. It wasn’t that a subcontractor used GenAI to create a music playlist to listen to while they worked. That’s a very different thing.

Where would Mort Garson’s Mother Earth’s Plantasia fit on here? I want to say something like “Meadowcore” but that’s not on the list and Plantasia is certainly not befitting of a punk suffix. Core also feels a bit clunky for it. I like “Treewave”, maybe it’d fit there?

I think that’s what they were getting at

But I was never making an “AI replacing humans” argument, we covered that already. I am against any use of GenAI.
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 weeks ago:
But they’re using GenAI in the ideation stage of concepting, which is something I have a problem with, and you don’t (which is fine, by the way). I feel like we’ve come back to the beginning of this argument, lol
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 weeks ago:
I think what they’ve said is that they’ll be using it in the ideation stage, which is part of the process of creating concept art. They’ve also said they often use it to “develop concept art”, which could well just be a slip of the tongue by management rather than a clear statement by somebody involved in the process.
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 weeks ago:
I think maybe you’re having a different argument than me? I didn’t say they were replacing anyone or anything with AI.
What I have expressed an issue with is exactly what you described:
they’re using it to help with the foundational stage of some processes, which is how it’s supposed to be used. Throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, then work off of that.
And you dismissively and incorrectly compared that to driving to the gym.
I think maybe try a different LLM to come up with your arguments, maybe Claude? Because the one you’ve got thinking for you right now doesn’t seem to be working lad.
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 weeks ago:
Yeah it’s exactly like that mate lol
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 weeks ago:
The concepting stage is a really crucial and foundational stage in terms of design, but it can also influence writing, gameplay, etc. as an artist explores the thing they’re concepting.
I don’t like genAI, and think that using it at such an important stage will invariably mean it ends up influencing the game. I want to play games or experience media made with intention by people, not bland products shat out by a chatbot.
