- Comment on Why adding modern controls to 1996's Tomb Raider simply doesn't work 5 days ago:
I feel like a modern Tomb Raider could copy a lot of Death Stranding traversal gameplay.
I want a TR game that allows the player to choose Lara’s loadout of weapons, clothes, rope, harness, climbing equipment, etc.
It should be challenging to raid a Tomb but players must get whatever was raided out safely.
- Comment on Why adding modern controls to 1996's Tomb Raider simply doesn't work 1 week ago:
It uses 1.1 through 1.4 for a single controller and 2.1 through 2.4 for dual controller setup.
Also, a the main reason why it feels like crap is because emulators do not translate the analog feel of the N64 correctly making a lot of those games feel super twitchy and very inaccurate.
I highly recommend trying out the decompiled version of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

Gondeneye always has a dual analog gameplay option just like modern games. It requires the use of 2 N64 controllers. It also let you turn off all the auto-aim if you really wanted to flex your analog skills.

There is definite live service game fatigue going on.

I remember when the Xbox 360 put ads of their which my friend defended because it would give him “relevant ads”. Its made the menu slower. Every game ad is relevant but completely unnecessary since the console has its online store built in.
That’s the first time I saw the console purposely get worse for zero good reason.

You make a good point. I’m glad it died because mindless grind with RNG loot is boring as shit.

I remember watching an interview of one of the developers of DA2 and I could tell that he had no idea what people liked in video games. It killed my interest.

I paid for whole GPU.

I need 800fps. One of my Steam games was 800+ fps on its HUD even though it was on a 60fps monitor. My GPU was going at 100%.

lol “Dragon Age veteran” title doesn’t as much value as the article seems to think.

Switch 2 desperately needs a TV-only version. I imagine the manufacturing cost would be drastically lower.
- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 2 weeks ago:
Online play on the Switch is $20 a year. The fact that they charge for online play and save backups is bullshit but not anywhere as bad as people pretend.
Isn’t Pokémon like a regular game you only need to buy once?

Fascists act like their current acts do not mirror acts that people like them have been doing for centuries. Even the fact that they pretend to be offended when someone calls them what they are.
- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 2 weeks ago:
It’s not any more expensive than any other electronics.
It’s a brand new tablet with okay battery life, pretty good performance and some low quality Bluetooth controllers included. Nothing else on the market is comparable. It’s basically a portable PS4 for $500 which is nice.
I recently built a PC. I bought RAM for $190. A week later it was $300. Now it’s over $400. Somehow, a Switch 2 is crazy overpriced at $500. People upset at the Switch 2 price are mouth breathers.
- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 2 weeks ago:
The Switch 2 is not expensive.
The people that think this are getting screwed by their jobs but they don’t want to think about their wage stagnating while their boss buys extra boats and houses.
- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 2 weeks ago:
you’re a lot less beholden to specific companies over here.
There’s only two CPU companies that often inflate their prices. There’s 3 but really only 2 GPU companies that also often inflate prices.
Let’s not talk about RAM.
Also, don’t forget the multiple price fixing lawsuits that got a lot of attention.
You might not like consoles but the PC world is more overpriced and just as predatory as the console market. It’s just businesses being greedy.

Tell me you’re a smart person when you keep buying low quality shit you don’t need and complain about the quantity of that same shit when it isn’t sold by weight or volume.
Maybe change your eating habits.

PCs with a GPU and CPU comparable to a PS5 are much more expensive than they should be.
GPU prices finally dropped to MSRP for about a month or two before prices skyrocketed again.

Americans are addicted to everything. Weed, coke, crack, fentanyl, alcohol, pain killers. If only they were addicted to not blaming everyone else for their fuck ups. Obviously, they are not mature adults.

Big pharma is the pusher that cartels are accused of being.
- Comment on Anon questions some decisions 4 weeks ago:
They are.
If you look up who consumes the most drugs I think you’ll find some really fun facts. Not only do more people in the US consume drugs but the quantity is also noticeably higher than anyone else.
The pusher theory is bs. Nobody is out there handing out free drugs to get people hooked.
- Comment on Anon questions some decisions 5 weeks ago:
Nobody pushes drugs.
Americans gobble up drugs like Hungry Hippos and the cartels are just violent psychopaths that want to be the distributors.

When I see content that is being sold with policies that I object to, I do not buy it. There’s plenty of other stuff to do or play.
For example , I have not bought any Sims game since 2.
