If it doesn’t run well on mobile gaming consoles, then it’s losing a huge market. It makes sense now that handhelds are popular af.

My console money is for the Steam Frame so nothing of value was lost. Most of their games can be watched through a let’s play series anyway.

Same with Linux distros. People bitch a lot about FOSS when you know damn well they’ll never contribute.

It taught someone I interacted with in CS2 that they can make good money from selling Roblox skins. No clue how that works but I brought them.

- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 2 months ago:
In fairness I have experienced the temptation to buy a Switch 2 simply for Mario Kart World. The game looks like a masterpiece that you can’t get anywhere else. The only limiting factor was Nintendo’s management of the game and how they force people to play intermissions. (And 500 dollars holy shit). But then Sonic Racing Crossworlds released and it was good enough for me.
That’s why in my original comment I said non-exclusive games because if we purely looked at the games, a lot of the exclusive games are bangers so I understand why people still buy from Nintendo.
- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 2 months ago:
This is good. People are learning through experience to not buy any non-exclusive game through Nintendo.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds. The bots are plenty tough on the hardest difficulty. But you can make them easy too.
- Comment on Why are people still romanticizing No Man’s Sky’s “redemption” arc? 2 months ago:
I also feel weird about it. “omg they updated a lot blah blah.” I believed them and loaded the have and it’s boring AF. I just assumed it’s a genre I didn’t like but it feels like it’s unworthy of pause for me too. You’re not alone dawg.

At this point Wilds is not worth the tinkering. I’ve had my fun so if I have to put extra effort to get it functional then I’ll pass.

It’s a shame. The game used to run really well on my Linux PC and I reached HR 280. A recent (a month or two ago) update completely fucked it up for me and it’s a pain to hunt now. I doubt they’re ever gonna fix Wilds 💀

The math subjects that require a lot of prerequisite knowledge are usually what I avoid. Without a project in mind, it becomes a huge waste of time to try to understand.

- Comment on After GOTY pull, Clair Obscur devs draw line in sand: 'Everything will be made by humans by us' 3 months ago:
That’s a pretty reductive take. I consider auto-formatting a form of AI because that’s a function that I ask ChatGPT to do. “Reformat the code” “tidy it up.” But I’m assuming even that is “AI” to you because ChatGPT was involved. The level of “AI” that the Claire devs used seemed to be on the same level as what I just described. A tool to help get the ball moving but not be the sole engine of the project.
Also, you don’t need to use LLMs from companies like OpenAI or Google, you can just run your own LLM.
