It was a color terminal starting with my upgrade from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS 10 (and Fedora around the same time).
But I kept it that way because of my history growing up with Apple IIs (and an old interface to airline booking software in the early 2000s as well.

Depends on the charity/thrift store some states they have to/choose to hold it longer before they can put it out to make sure people aren’t trying to dump goods that were illicitly attained or don’t have the staff to process.
