That is exploitation not success.

*How the Trump administration is FORCING the US National Park Service to delete American History… these people would never do this on their own.

This has really be the ultimate version of telling customers what they want instead of listening to them, what a wild ride.

Another casualty in the short sighted quest to make money instead of working honestly. I wonder when pirate ships will start sailing again.

- Comment on Tech workers in Silicon Valley are increasingly experimenting with gray-market peptide drugs from China, legal for personal use, for improving focus and more 4 weeks ago:
Hardly new, they have been around at least 10 years as I dabbled in them a bit back then, at least as far as things like BPC, SEMAX and SELANK. I would definitely not inject a random powder or solution sent to me from China without testing, I have heard of far too many dangerous mix ups and wrong orders. Anyways, I found them to be rather expensive for their effects. The human body is pretty fickle though, your brain can take a lot of abuse but eventually it will try to find balance, and then you will find yourself in trouble.

Sure, I’ve been there, I’m still there some days, it’s a lot of hard work to push yourself and find your redeeming qualities when you feel like you don’t have any, or keep trying when you feel like you fail every time, or feel like you sabotage yourself every time you get something going right. If that’s a step it’s great I’m just saying, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
- Comment on Anon gets his life in order 2 months ago:
Well that does sound better, as long as it’s not completely dependent on another persons approval, that’s kinda asking for trouble.

“I only care about myself when someone else cares about me” is not particularly healthy.

Thanks for the deep dive, yeah that seems really suspicious, the pdf of that study definitely looks like it was paid for by someone with an agenda. I feel like anyone who’s up for taking a survey on AI is already into AI so it’s pretty skewed. I suppose one thing from that study did make some sense:
Many people who are using AI relationship technologies report that they prefer AI communication over engaging with a real person in a genuine relationship.
Sure, everyone loves a sycophant who hangs on their every word and agrees with them all the time… for a while at least.

The spirit of Star Trek is incompatible with Paramount’s new MAGA politics, it will be ruined.

Oof that’s super disheartening, I never really entered those contests because I feared it was the same. My music is pretty weird as it is I don’t really want to put it up against more ear friendly stuff lol. I feel like people are all watching the same youtube videos and getting the same tips or using the same tutorials and/or sample packs and projects or presets. DAWs are awesome in that they’ve made music making accessible to literally anyone but they’ve also made it easy to make a lot of music that sounds the same, I mean of course that was happening before computers as well, but it still take some effort to be a cover band.

I was never really a fan because Gene Simmons always seemed like such a douchebag to me but they had some catchy tunes, maybe a bit too obsessed with sex, but can’t deny their place in rock history I suppose, RIP dude.
