- Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 6 days ago:
Excellent solution.
- Comment on Do you think The Boys is an accurate representation if real people had superpowers? 1 week ago:
One hundred percent. If you liked that show, then you might like the Wildcards series or Aberrant rpg.
Have you ever seen someone poor get a lot of money and they go from being a normal person to a psychopath? Not everyone does, but enough do that you can notice. Being rich is a super power irl. If you’re a billionaire, you can crash a 100k car and just go get another one. A middle class person cannot comprehend having a 100k car.
There’s a reason the phrase “fuck you money” exists.
- Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 1 week ago:
Exactly. It’s like when people joke “eat the rich”. Zero desire for cannibalism, but 100% desire for the rich to be removed from the earth.

Honestly, some people don’t. Assuming op isn’t trolling, one of my kids is like this.

- Comment on For people who relocated: when did you realize you want to live in the new place long-term & why? 4 weeks ago:
In my experience, there’s an inertia to staying still. You either need a pull from the destination or a push from the source. I didn’t care where we ended up but I couldn’t live where we were. The state government was persecuting one of my kids and failing on maintaining civil services. The destination wasn’t great but it was better than the source and has family nearby. Overall, I don’t regret moving, but I’m not happy. I went from a terrible situation to a not as bad one. Note - I didn’t say this is good.
- Comment on what does it mean being nice to your coworkers to you? 5 weeks ago:
My main tactic to avoid answering a question is deflection. Either give an absurd answer (most people don’t follow up) or just enough to placate them and move on.
“what did you do this weekend?”
Absurd - “oh, nothing much, just climbed mount everest in a clown suit.”
Just enough - “spent some time in the garden”. (note this must be true bc there may be followups, but it’s boring enough to be dropped)
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 1 month ago:
Would you change your whole personality just because society dictates you must?
Yes. We do what we must to survive. It’s masking. I am many people. I am one person at work, I play the game of being social. I am another at home with family, I play the game of house member. I am another person with friends, I play the game of a buddy.
You decide if you want to follow the rules and earn their prizes or find another system to exist in. It’s far easier said than done. I chose to follow the rules. You might not.

Hah, you’re probably right! I like superman because it’s so over the top with powers and black and white morality. It’s unrealistic hopefulness is why I like it.

- Comment on what are in you're top 3 favourite games of all time? 2 months ago:
Those are all relatively new games. How old are you? Just decade, not specifics. I’m in my 40s. I’d say my top 3 are World of Warcraft, Factorio, and Final Fantasy 6.
- Comment on Feeling insecure about going to a 'girlie pop' concert as a 30 year old man, am i overthinking it? 2 months ago:
One of my favorite things about getting older is that I give less of a shit about anyone else’s opinion, every year. When you’re 40, you’re gonna laugh at how worked up you got about this.
- Comment on Why do people like the Punisher comics? 2 months ago:
But the reason people like or dislike stories isn’t because of powers or machines in them.
For some, sure. For others, like me, that is exactly why I like certain things.

Don’t ruin a hobby with money. You will lose all enjoyment of it. Something changes when you get paid for it.

Actually never been in a relationship before
You need to be bad at something before you’re good at something, in almost every thing in life. You have to go thru bad relationships before you’ll understand what’s a good one. Just be willing to learn and end things when it’s time.

easy mood management
Easy? Well then I certainly didn’t grasp the concept. I never found it to be easy, at all. It was always more negative than positive for me.
- Comment on RimWorld - Odyssey expansion and update 1.6 out now! 2 months ago:
Gonna sit on this one for a bit. I haven’t really enjoyed any of the dlc. Royalty powers are neat but the upkeep is tedious. Ideology is fun if you RP but I don’t. Otherwise converting people is just a chore. Biotech is my favorite but the pollution system is unbalanced. Anomaly I skipped because it’s not interesting to me in the slightest.
I still love and play the base game. I like the logistics!

Nah, you’re good. You asked and he answered. If it’s something that would happen at a doctor’s office, you’re good. If it’s something that would happen at a brothel, then that’s a problem. It’s all technical and you got consent.
I do the same when it comes to bodies. I ask my kids if they are comfortable or give them options. Let them know they’re in control of their bodies. Give them options. Example, we had a showering demonstration and I asked if they wanted to wear a swim suit or be naked.
