I think the Of Loathing games can be pacifist

no please don’t do that to yourself
there is a summary there, the cast and characters, and you can glean the answers to your questions from them better than I could relate it to you

- Comment on Does anyone struggle with spending money foolishly on prostitutes? 2 weeks ago:
Spending money on prostitutes isn’t a bad habit, those are people providing you with a service. The bible is a bad habit. Nothing good in there. If you need help getting away from Christian influences, my DMs are open.

Would the economy collapse or thrive?
No. Pure terror forever. If the US continues down this road, nothing but violence, death, starvation and terror until it is all done. No “US.” Fire. Death.

- Comment on AI for good, with caveats: How a keynote speaker was censored during an international artificial intelligence summit 3 weeks ago:
GENEVA, Switzerland — On Tuesday, United Nations’ flagship platform for artificial intelligence, The AI for Good Global Summit 2025, kicked off in Geneva. But the commencement of the summit wasn’t without controversy. Hours before the keynote speaker, Abeba Birhane—founder and lead of the TCD AI Accountability Lab (AIAL) and one of Time magazine’s 2023 100 Most Influential People in AI—was set to take the stage, she was asked by organizers to remove some of her slides.
Specifically, the organizers wanted Birhane to “remove anything that mentions ‘Palestine’ ‘Israel’ and replace ‘genocide’ with ‘war crimes‘” and “a slide that explains illegal data torrenting by Meta.”
“In the end, it was either remove everything that names names (big tech particularly) and remove logos or cancel my talk,” Birhane, whose research focuses on algorithmic bias and AI ethics and fairness, wrote in a Bluesky post.
Whelp I guess we now know you can’t beat the TESCREAL cult by showing up to their propaganda summits and trying to do a TED Talk.

believe that i’ve seen versions of this attack where the spammer makes a few innocuous non-spam (but not contribution either) posts before going full LLM bot
A more critical weakness is that these accounts only posted obvious spam; they made no effort to build up a plausible persona. Generating plausible human posts is more difficult, but broadly feasible with current LLM technology.
- Comment on AI agents wrong ~70% of time: Carnegie Mellon study 4 weeks ago:
CMU is one of the most right-wing, corpo controlled schools in the US colonies (especially influenced by Palantir), so it is interesting they are admitting the “agent” AI concept is fake.
The writing in this article is ridiculously ignorant and credulous though, you can tell the writer doesn’t understand “AI”/ML and is still trying to pretend AI is real. For example, only a complete idiot, specifically the complete idiot Thomas Claburn, would repeat the following propaganda after the numbers they cite.
Neubig said he expects agents will become more capable in time but added that even imperfect agents can be useful, at least in the context of coding agents – a partial code suggestion can be filled out and improved.

People post nasty anti-social shit like this on lemmy and for what? and then you get a bunch of other accounts that just pop on to post “oh, and I just love my spotify, I just love to keep giving money to anti-social parasites.” Insufferable.

that’s A Muppet Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol is the socialist diatribe by Charles Dickens with all the chains and suffering that Clive Barker cribbed from for The Hellbound Heart

wild that Se7en was so influential we’re still seeing “seven deadly sins” memes today, the only other movie so iconic is probably The Matrix
