And it’s better to agitate and busy people over theory and semantics rather than focus on the things they can do.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
so you don’t get in the way of the rest of us
Too busy going nowhere by your own words and also to remember your manners. I’m not easily offended so won’t be reporting this post as “omg, person swore at me, get him mods!”. You’re not the spokesperson of other people, no matter how the community makes you think you are. That’s radicalisation.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Touchy subject for you huh, and you’re reading far more into it than the words that are there.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
IMO Lemmy has revealed that people around the world are more left-leaning and class conscious than I thought back when I was on R*ddit.
Not wanting to rain on your parade, but that’s what an echo chamber does.

lol! Pseudo intellectual does pseudo intellectual stuff regarding pseudo intellectualism!
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Don’t worry. As a little experiment, I’ve found time and time again across a whole range of social media sites over years, that having a username that some people could perceive as aggressive will get you blocked / banned faster than you would believe. The people of Lemmy are not as different/open as they think they are!
Unfortunately, when I open groups, I get called out that it should be merged with a sort-of-similar group, and then of course, empty groups are hard to start.
Having to take the effort to block all the politics in the first place mean 90% of people won’t do it and will get tied up with giving their asshole to each post rather than perhaps what they wanted to come here for in the first place. I believe that doesn’t create an overall diverse community.

I never once wrote I disagree with it, but other than pseudo intellectual masturbation, it isn’t good for much.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Thanks, didn’t know that!
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
It’s the exact thing I meant and didn’t realise I had to be explicit as I thought this would be common knowledge amongst these self-proclaimed worldly people. It happens with any extremist group, terrorist cells or potential threats to the government and where better to obtain such information than online? It’s naive to think world’s governments don’t also have a lemmy presence.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Ok, problems not denied… So, everything’s fixed, right? The people are essentially powerless - politics aside - and arguing such things is moot and a distraction to a happy life.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Who can’t do anything about it?
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
It isn’t that it contradicts any political biases. But, it’s like, ok, enough, we get it, yawn, now for positive stuff like hobbies, fun stuff, not the same whinging circle jerk over and over again.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Sure, I’m thinking controls for a better feed that doesn’t give voice to the constant political crap, more control over it, better blocking of post bots and AI slop generating bots.
Honestly, I’d rather just look for a better server with less politically outspoken nobodies.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
your insinuation that those of us more politically active must be young and not worldly is infantilizing bullshit.
Ahh, spoken like a true unworldly young person. I hope you understand in twenty years.

echo chamber
Thanks, I guess that’s the phrase. You have to have the same mentality as the mods otherwise you’re banned. Challenging opinions isn’t allowed.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
Indeed, scores of manipulative political memes are how one learns.

Can I block communities out of my feed?
- Comment on You got it, buddy 5 days ago:
But we both know it isn’t.
- Comment on Why is Lemmy attempting to radicalise people to enforce class wars? 5 days ago:
There should be no class war. A community that fosters it is not helping.

Or to actually speak out against such abuse and to not let it be normalised.
Oh no, being against it upsets some women who are used to unconditionally hating on men in their little sycophant abusive circles without having any comebacks.
Oh well, anyway…

There are studies that show that 102% of populist studies are BS.

Oh look, another anti-male post on Lemmy. This shit needs to stop. If it was a “women are so dumb” meme, it’d be reported and removed for being anti-female/misogyny/“I’m a woman and don’t like it, so remove it” complaints and the poster would be banned.

and it’s posts like these (propaganda) designed to manipulate readers into accepting what’s happening, and that it’s ok.

look back to some of the games for the 8 and 16-bit consoles. They tended to be about fun rather than shock factors. So check out the larger games for the megadrive for example
