- Comment on What happend to messenging apps interoperability in the EU? 22 hours ago:
Open whisper protocol works with a federated networks in fact its more anonymous cos if u have only one server u can collate senders and receiver’s to build a social graph. Their is quite a bit of sus shit related to signal they don’t like 3rd party clients, they have mandatory phone number requirements (despite that being their most significant cost), they received money from inqtel the CIA venture capital fund.
I don’t see what security advantage u get from a single vendor ecosystem. I see a lot a reasons it can be abused tho.

- Comment on The USA prided itself on a nation of immigrant, heck even the Statue of Liberty says it. When did immigrants (US citizens from the old world) become anti immigrant and why? 1 day ago:
The us has always been anti illegal immigration and accepting of legal immigration. Its incredibly harmful that the 2 concepts are being combined and treated the same now.

- Comment on Would you ever give up your right to leave a bad review about a company? 6 days ago:
But it voids that clause in the contract. So they can leave as many reviews as they like and the company can do jack shit to impose sanctions for doing so.

- Comment on If you are paying to use "AI", who are you paying and what are your regular usecases? 1 week ago:
The extension kilocode let’s u connect to any openai api comparable endpoint. I’ve got it hooked up to my instance of openwebui so I can use remote models via open routers or use locals models.
- Comment on If you are paying to use "AI", who are you paying and what are your regular usecases? 1 week ago:
I pay OpenRouter they give me access to pretty much all models from all providers at the market rate per token.
I have it hooked up to openwebui which I use for finding almost all information as it had a searxng tool to search for things.
I also use KiloCode its an agentic code editor for vscodium.

- Comment on "Conservatives" what are you really? 4 weeks ago:
Not a conservative but get called one a lot so we go.
I hold only 2 core beliefs and everything else is derived from those 2.
I believe in liberty and equality (of opportunity).
This via logical conclusions leads me to many an opinion that are considered conservative.
For instance abortion is murder but it is also a woman’s right to get an abortion.
Equality of the unborn child to have an opportunity at life makes it murder. Liberty of the mother to not be forced to have that child is liberty. Liberty outweighs life such sentiment is summed up perfectly via.

Well most gases dissolve in water especially at higher pressures so it would be like sparkling water but with hydrogen not co2 (maybe but who knows).
- Comment on How do AI data centers manage to *consume* water, but when I cool my house, my A/C *makes* water? 4 weeks ago:
Water is evaporated which takes a lot of energy due to latent heat. Essentially its very energy expensive to boil water.

- Comment on Is it okay to cover the outside of a microwave in aluminum to prevent or lessen microwave WiFi interference? 5 weeks ago:
Couple things. As long as its grounded to the microwave ground then its fine (yes even inside). If ur microwave is interfering with WiFi u have a serious radiation leakage problem (not good). U need an area larger than the wavelength of non conductivity for leakage so u would need a pretty big hole to leak microwaves.
I suspect what’s actually happening is the microwave transformer is leaking non microwave em radiation which is causing the interference (maybe via come capacitive coupling bs). Or ur microwave is busted and spitting out the wrong wavelength.
Either way I would test if a different microwave in the same location causes the same problems and if so its busted. If the WiFi antenna is near the microwave try moving it first.

I believe warmer climates are actually beneficial for some if not most bugs. As it extends the amount if time that’s warmer where they remain viable.

Have u noticed u don’t get flies and insects smashing into ur windshield anymore? It used to happen all the time but its really really rare now.
Perhaps its all these chemicals used in monocrop agriculture raping the land that’s killing everything.
