They’re misusing waste?
How would I go about finding hidden government waste besides a simple google search? Especially if I know they are still misusing it to this date?

Go through the accounting records.

If your government is not corrupt from head to toe then they probably have “access to information” or in my area “Freedom of Information act request.” I don’t know how to do it and I’ve been wanting to requests some info from the government too. It might be easier for someone to teach you but Citizen Lab has one for companies to access what info they gathered from you. Maybe you can start there. If you’re Canadian then search Freedom of Information act or “Freedom of Information Request.” As far as I’m reading request needs to be specific so they won’t reject your request due to technicality like “the man hours to gather with request is too much for our dept” or something like that.

Its simple u take control of the government then u make a giant database of every single employee money source input and output and organisation. U give energy agency 2weeks to comply or face death penalty under some trumped up charges about betrayal of the nation or some shit. U execute/lock up everyone who doesn’t comply and cut their funding. U make a snitch line and promise 20% of the money saved from fraud to whoever snitched.
Now u have a giant db with everything and have executed the worse offenders that will stop 80% overnight. You then find one dodgy entity in the db execute everyone and use their records to find who they are associated with. Repeat forever.
Give me unchecked power and 3 million dollars and I can clean up all fraud in any system. Its a simple problem to solve just that nobody wants to.
PS u gotta do public executions to send a message. Fear has and always will work.
“Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? It may be answered that one should wish to be both, but because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved, when, of the two, either must be dispensed with.” - Niccolò Machiavelli (The Prince)

Waste? What exactly do you mean.

Saying they spent more than they actually did and pocketing the money.

You’re describing fraud. Waste would be spending money unnecessarily, but not having anyone specific intentionally gain from it.

Unless you’re an accountant, and a better one than they have, you probably won’t.

Well, assuming you are talking about USA. Good luck, often times they use private corporations to hide money trails, since corporations can hide the trail.
The best way is to learn about the specific branch or service; who runs it, who are their friends, where does the money actually supposed to go? Its significantly difficult to learn these things and not get caught as well.
