- Comment on Met police arrest pensioner for ‘jury crime’ already ruled not a crime 2 weeks ago:
So keep on trying to prosecute even though she was acquitted previously. The UK really is scared of protesters. Remember this! They are scared of you rising up.
Individuals have a right to a fair trial; And a jurors have a right to know what their legal rights are…its not up to a judge to dictate if they do/don’t or when.
This will lead to more miscarriages of justice. They never learn, the contempt for the public is astounding.
- Comment on What Can Antifascists in the UK Learn From Antifa in the US? 2 weeks ago:
Agreed. People have been asking and asking. They have been educating. It does nothing. We were told we could have a say and protest. Then they ignored and banned it.
We do not have a democracy and being reasonable gets us nowhere.

I am enjoying the tone of articles lately. Unfortunately those who need to understand it the most likely cant as they have not developed or reject abstract thought.

- Comment on Hackney pub’s child‑free rule sparks debate online 1 month ago:
It kinda did us good, we got some freedom too. The field at the end of the beer garden (after a coke that you drank like it was Bacardi & Coke) was where adventure lay. The last thing you wanted was an adult and a gourmet dinner.

The headline is a bit clickbaity - Tough New Guidance IF YOU DONT LISTEN YOULL GET A VISIT FROM THE DIGIPIGGIES gonna be doing the rounds on FB next.
I did expect a bit more ragebait in the article but its just common sense guidance, the police aint gonna be visiting if your child gets hold of your phone.

I am actively trying to dig my heels in resistance to levels of controls and believe where my money goes as an option to help me fight.
How it’s transacted is another option and you are correct these kind of techniques can be useful. Tactics are used against us as consumers so it should be used in reverse.

- Comment on A new homelessness law in Wales is being called 'world-leading' 2 months ago:
There’s a lot of bolster in that article and not enough real facts of what they will be doing. Jist of it was “moving away from one that responds to crisis and towards one that is firmly focused on prevention”. Stating services can work together for 6 month before homelessness occurs. And the only mechanism I saw was ensuring care leavers are given priority on social housing.
- Comment on How Big Tech Killed Online Debate 2 months ago:
Do you think the jump from viewing on pc to viewing on mobile phone may play a part?
On a big old square screen you could look a decent amount of replies fast, phone scroll through 2/3 long posts becomes a chore.
- Comment on How Big Tech Killed Online Debate 2 months ago:
Its always been somewhat of an issue, but more recently the shut down has also been facilitated by the platforms, as they have an agenda, are concerned by legal issues or straight up want to flex authority.
I personally feel good debate is better in the real world, chat with people and open your mind. Its always a good way to get people practising their critical thinking skills.
- Comment on Alton Towers bans people with anxiety from using disability pass 2 months ago:
Genuine question? Where would you go?
The thing with Alton is the sheer amount of people, it’s loud, it’s hyper. I know they have the gardens, but they are still buried in the middle.
So where can you visit? that gives you fun but without an over exaggerated atmosphere that comes with it.
I personally like aquariums and gardens.

Good on this guy standing up to this. It’s racism, whilst it might seem subtle it’s still systematic.
- Comment on Why Owning Nothing Is So Expensive 2 months ago:
Reminds me of the old saying around, Cant be conservative if you have nothing to conserve. It really does come into play when we have young trying to build a life and have stability. Ripping that away and renting everything back does not build communities.

- Comment on Why are the Populist Right Surging in Australia? 3 months ago:
I often wonder if Albo did well because of how he captained, because people wanted change or that scomo and the the liberals were just so bad. Either way the average man has gotton much of the same, higher costs and less ability to have a steady future. I appreciate that he made an effort with recognising first nations it is a issue that needs to be tackled but its probs behind 10 other bigger issues.
Until the pollies stand up to coal, houseprices, china…or the money its only gonna get worse, and really, Aus has seen this happen all over the western world and had a good 5 year hindsight.I feel like there is time to turn it around for Aus but there does not seem a politician likely to step up, serve the people and give the tough talks that most need to hear.
‘She’ll be alright’ has changed from a positive call to an excuse to ignore problems and refute progress.
- Comment on Why are the Populist Right Surging in Australia? 3 months ago:
I think there could be that is noticeable in some circles and environment. Dismissing it its a non issue allows this to grow. Is there a growth? given the amount of groups popping up and being blatant about it, i would argue yes, And TBH i have seen it at grassroot level, most people dismiss it, some call it out, and…some listen.
Aus pretends it does not have a racism problem, but it does, the superiority complex and everyone’s keenness to make $ overrides the surface camaraderie and generosity of the Aussies…unfortunately
The divide is also fuelled by a gov after gov of not dealing with social problems. There are opportunities in Aus but it still favours the rich and the old too much. Land of the landlords and the worship of coal is enough to disillusion many. I know this will sound like whataboutism but the truth is people will jump on these things as an excuse and use to draw others in.

I hate AI however my sympathy for these guys is not high. Most of them have been plagiarising one another for years, scalping users data and pushing their monitized drivel with a recipe as a footer.
Weirdly it’s one of the few uses I would employ AI for. Give me a recipes for abc# must have high ratings. I k ow that is what our search engines should do…but don’t die to the SEO tactics of monitoring the net. These people employed the dog that’s now biting them.
