I am surprised there is no DRM “approved” OEM brake pads. You already have to plug your brake pads in for the brake pad wear sensor for some cars. Wouldn’t be a stretch to run another wire and have a chip to identify itself so you can “keep yourself safe” by using OEM pads.

Huddles work better than Slack calls from a technical standpoint but unfortunately the contents are all the same.

Lemmy communities are run by volunteers who are often footing the bill themselves to run. Without these people Lemmy would not exist. One/some of these people decided to save themselves a few bucks a month and get a .zip domain. There’s nothing wrong with lemmy.zip

They’ve returned to fatter laptops with more ports. People did not like those thin MacBooks for a number of reasons.

It is so annoying and it’s my biggest complaint about Lemmy. Every dang thread, the comment section is usually filled with US politics discussion even if it’s a completely unrelated topic.
- Comment on For some reason suicide is illegal. If someone is going or trying to commit suicide and get talked down are they still in trouble or get locked up or sent to a medical facility? 2 weeks ago:
Or straight up legal and recommended by doctors in some countries. Depends on where you live.

Depends on the thickness. The thin ones need to be changed more than the thick ones.

Interesting. I’m going to give it a try. I’ve been wanting something that has more powerful filtering capabilities.

I think the keyword filters are just for posts, at least for the client I’m using (Thunder). However I would love if comment filtering was a thing.

If you submerged your body in table salt in a swimming pool for an entire day, would you come out dehydrated and cured like a piece of beef jerky?

My Starlink provider changed every few days but my new fiber connection has been unchanged for 6 months since I got it. I have taken advantage of that and have hosted some stuff on a domain that’s pointing back to that address and port forwarded.
