- Comment on Game marketing company takes down blog post bragging about how good it is at astroturfing Reddit after Reddit finds the post 1 week ago:
I think to an extent yes, but not quite as bad as Reddit. Reddit admins will completely ignore reports about these. I think most Fediverse admins won’t ignore them.

Lol this escort mission. I don’t hate it. Now the Funhouse, that’s a great level

Also I remember Dead to Rights was a pretty good game

I loved my 3DS. And yeah it’s actually pocket sized, unlike the Switch or Steam Deck. I’m still not sure about the choice of the 3D screen instead of just making it higher resolution lol, a higher resolution DS would’ve been good too. The 3D effect was cool but kind of a gimmick.

Max Payne 1&2 are some of my favorite games ever, I’ve beaten both over 5 times

I was really surprised at the price difference. Win11 Home adds $140 to the laptop cost? I would’ve expected $100, but damn.

Wow this device looks amazing, love the form factor, and the wider top screen makes it so much better and more versatile

Unreal PT was actually really good lol. But yeah most of those Unreal Engine “remakes” are just a couple of graphics assets with no real gameplay or content
- Comment on Microsoft support for Windows 10 officially ends today, but a third of Steam players still use it | VGC 5 weeks ago:
I’ll be really curious to see the next few months of the Steam Hardware Surveys to see if Linux usage goes up a bit. Can we hit 3% this year? September already ended at 2.68% (+0.04%)

In the US call it Gray and Grey, but in the UK localize the title to Grey and Gray

yea the PS2 version is bad, but this kinda looks worse lol
- Comment on PlayStation State of Play (Sept. 24, 2025) | MEGATHREAD 1 month ago:
it’s SO bad, I don’t see any reason for it to exist when the game already plays great on PC (with the Vanilla Fixer), and on PS5 with the PS2 version

- Comment on Block Blasters: Theft of $32k in crypto from a stage 4 cancer patient due to valve’s incompetence in allowing malware on their platform 1 month ago:
There are so many ways malware could get through that. What if it waits for a specific date or a certain amount of progress in the game? This automated sandbox probably wouldn’t be smart enough to beat the game, certainly not with as many games as they have.

People would do this on purpose to steal their own money and then beg Valve to pay them lol

Kinda excited for this, I actually loved the Friday the 13th game. The way voice chat worked made for some great immersion and role playing.

- Comment on Do movie actors or actress keep the skills they learned? Like no one would screw with Keanu after seeing all the John Wick films? And if they did would they just be fucked from the start? 4 months ago:
It does mean he’s far above the average person (which isn’t saying much, the average person probably has less than an hour of firearms training, and maybe 1 day of material arts training at most)

So if he had a gun you’d likely be in trouble.
Lol

There’s been a pivot away from “classic” speedruns games over the last few years - I get that Doom or Sonic 2 or Goldeneye or other 90s games aren’t guaranteed a place every year, but it seems like the games that kicked off the speedrun scene are often overlooked these days.
I definitely always want 80s/90s games in GDQ lol, but I’m old so what do I know, I can still enjoy newer games sometimes

Like the 2016 Doom onwards, the runs are technically outstanding, but there’s a lot of walking on invisible geometry with collision detection, or random tricks like railboosting in Doom that seems to break a game.
but the glitchless/etc runs of those Doom games on high difficulty are amazing, Doom Eternal is so fast it’s basically a single-player e-sport
