- Comment on Do office going men still wear suits in the US? 3 days ago:
As others have said, it depends on the industry. I’ve worked in government in DC and most people there wore suits/nice attire. There was also the one agent I saw with his service pistol tucked into his dress belt 🤦
I’ve since switched jobs to private industry and it’s much more lax here but still no shorts or graphic tees sort.
- Comment on POV: you walk into a meeting with people who make 10x your salary 1 month ago:
I got a field promotion to project manager once and had to learn to talk like this real fast. It was so soul sucking I barely lasted a year before quitting. Juggling project goals, budgets, workers, client relations, etc left me with no time to actually do meaningful work and I just ended up hating myself because my life had become endless meetings like this one (but I wasn’t paid 10x my workers salaries).

I miss seeing these everywhere in the summer as a kid. Guess I just aged myself like, but I did see some in the park last night. Nowhere near as many as years ago though.

Are there any emulators out there that haven’t been taken down yet?

password-store is a CLI app to store passwords and even supports OTP.
Please do not use the same manager for your passwords and OTPs. That defeats the purpose of multi-factor.
Otherwise +1 for the other services. I’m hoping to set up my matrix server soon
